TNA Thursday Night Impact Results 6/4 – Wicked Gardens Match, Mixed Tag Team Bout

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.’s live coverage for “TNA Thursday Night Impact” on June 4, 2026, coming to you from the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento, California!

The Righteous’ Vincent and Dutch will be squaring off against longtime rivals Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy in a Wicked Gardens Match. With The Righteous having unsuccessfully dethroned then-TNA World Tag Team Champions Matt and Jeff at TNA Genesis on January 17 and the March 28 episode of “Thursday Night Impact”, Vincent and Dutch teased the inaugural Wicked Gardens match in a video from last Thursday’s edition of “Thursday Night Impact”.

TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella will be joining forces with Indi Hartwell to go head-to-head with Marella’s daughter Arianna Grace and her fiancée Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo in a Mixed Tag Team Match. With tensions between all four competitors rising over the course of the last several weeks, Stacks scored a win against Marella in singles competition last Thursday with some assistance from Grace. In the moments that followed the match, Grace berated Marella until Hartwell came to his aid.

TNA Knockouts World Champion Léi Yǐng Lee will be action as she collides with The Elegance Brand’s Mr. Elegance in an intergender match. Mr. Elegance looked to become involved in the Women’s Champions Challenge last Thursday, but former MMA fighter Keith Jardine chased him to the back. This opened the door for Lee’s former best friend Xia Brookside to pin her and secure a shot at her TNA Knockouts World Championship.

Additionally, Eddie Edwards of The System will be taking on BDE in singles competition. Eric Young will also be making an appearance on tonight’s show as he prepares to challenge Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship after he won a Number One Contenders Battle Royal on the May 14 episode of “Thursday Night Impact”, and A.J. Francis will be performing for the Impact Zone.

Christopher Daniels Praises Young AEW Stars

Among the roster of AEW’s sister brand, Ring of Honor, Daniels pointed to the high-flying Action Andretti and “The Real Deal” Zayda Steel as other stars to watch. The latter has worked under the tutelage of Daniels for several months now.

“I think Action Andretti is outstanding,” Daniels said. “I feel like he had an opportunity on TV when he first came to AEW and since that time, he’s showed up and showed out in Ring of Honor in these last couple of weeks. I think he’s got a bright future ahead of him. Zayda Steel, my protege in the Sky Flight group. Zayda is amazing. I think she’s got a long career ahead of her. I think she’s done a lot of great stuff in the short time that she’s been in Ring of Honor, AEW.”

On the heels of her WWE ID program exit, Steel signed to the AEW-ROH family in late 2025. Since then, she’s steadily built a name for herself in the women’s divisions, while also representing the Sky Flight group, managed by Daniels. Most recently, Steel partnered with Viva Van in an AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship eliminator match at AEW Double or Nothing. The pair fell just seconds short of surviving the time limit against the reigning champions, Megan Bayne and Lena Kross.

“From day one, I think they’ve been outstanding athletes, outstanding wrestlers,” Daniels said of Darius and Dante Martin, two of Sky Flight’s other members. “Just a matter of putting it all together, getting opportunities, and breaking through to that next level. But I think Top Flight can do it.”

AEW’s Christopher Daniels Addresses Higher Power Rumor From Attitude Era

Nearly 27 years to the day since it occurred, the angle that saw Vince McMahon revealed as the “higher power” to The Undertaker and the Corporate Ministry remains one of the more infamous, and disliked, angles WWE has ever produced. But rumors have long persisted that McMahon was a last second choice for the role, with WWE exec Bruce Prichard even suggesting that the “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels was set for the spot. In the past, Daniels has claimed to have been unaware that he was considered, and when asked about the angle during a “K&S WrestleFest” virtual signing, he reiterated that he was not approached for the role at the time.

“I’ve heard that [rumor],” Daniels said. “I didn’t hear that until much later down the line. I think it was thought about, but I don’t think it was ever really…considered, honestly. I feel like…there was a period of time that Jim Cornette was trying to get me a job with WWE. And I was doing a spiritual character, and I think maybe they thought ‘Oh, this might be cool.’

“But then, you know, I’m 5 ’10, I’m not really well known, and it didn’t make a lot of sense to me to be the boss of The Undertaker. Like, it might’ve made more sense if I was, like, a subordinate to The Undertaker. But yeah, I don’t think it would’ve been a good idea, so there you go.”

Despite missing out on the gimmick, Daniels did work several matches for WWE shows such as “Jakked” and “Shotgun Saturday Night” between 1998 and 2001. In the end, missing out on the “higher power” gimmick didn’t hurt Daniels’ career, as he would go on to have extended stints with TNA and Ring of Honor, the latter where he won the ROH World Championship. He is currently AEW’s head of talent relations after retiring from the ring in early 2025.

WWE Planning Special Merchandise For Austin 3:16 And nWo 30th Anniversaries

WWE Planning Special Merchandise For Austin 3:16 And nWo 30th Anniversaries

WWE is reportedly preparing to celebrate two of the most memorable moments in professional wrestling history with a new wave of anniversary merchandise.

According to WrestleVotes Radio through Fightful Select, WWE has plans in place to mark the 30th anniversary of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s legendary King of the Ring victory and the birth of the iconic Austin 3:16 catchphrase. The historic promo took place on June 23, 1996, and remains one of the defining moments of Austin’s rise to superstardom.

The company is also expected to commemorate another landmark event from 1996, Hulk Hogan’s shocking heel turn and formation of the nWo at WCW Bash at the Beach on July 7. The report notes that WWE intends to celebrate both anniversaries through a combination of exclusive merchandise, collectible art prints, and dedicated social media campaigns highlighting their lasting impact on the wrestling industry.

Meanwhile, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes recently weighed in on WWE merchandise sales and singled out one superstar he believes has become a surprising powerhouse.

Speaking on ESPN’s Unsportsmanlike ahead of Clash in Italy, Rhodes praised Danhausen’s popularity and suggested the fan favorite has become one of the company’s biggest merchandise movers.

“What do we think about Danhausen? I don’t know where I stand on him yet. I don’t know,” Rhodes admitted. “He’s part of the crew that [signs] 8 x 10s early in the day, we do a stack of them. It’s a small crew that do these, we sell them up at the stands, and now he has a stack and it sits next to my stack. And so, we’ve had a couple of moments where we sat next to each other.

“I don’t have the best read on ‘Very Nice, Very Evil, Very Rich’ [yet], I don’t know enough about [it], but I do think it’s safe to say Danhausen is one of the most popular people in all of WWE at the moment, and I don’t really see it stopping,” he added. “He overtook the merch game. There’s all kinds of market confusion because the WWE Shop website has a thing that people actually believe. But I’ll tell you right now who’s the king of the merch game, it’s Danhausen.”

While WWE looks back at two of the most influential moments of the Monday Night War era, the company is also seeing new stars carve out their own place with fans, particularly when it comes to merchandise sales and audience engagement.
