Enzo Amore Expected In NXT, Big Cass WWE Return Less Certain

Enzo Amore Expected In NXT, Big Cass WWE Return Less Certain

A new update has surfaced regarding the possible WWE return of Enzo Amore and Big Cass, with current information suggesting different situations for both.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Enzo Amore is expected to be heading to NXT in the near future. However, there is far less clarity when it comes to Big Bill, formerly known as Big Cass, despite ongoing discussion outside WWE about his status.

Meltzer stated: “The current plan has Enzo Amore to be in NXT soon. Nothing on Big Bill, the former Big Cass, is official or even talked about heavily in the company, but outside the company there is a lot of talk. It’s a Jericho situation where you go with the idea he’s off television for a long time with a contract coming due so he’s possibly leaving. In most cases that’s correct, but Jericho also showed you can’t say 100 percent. And Hobbs showed even if they are being kept on television and are holding a title and having big matches, you can’t say they are 100 percent staying either.”

The report follows earlier information noting that Amore was seen at the WWE Performance Center earlier this month, adding weight to expectations of a return. Meanwhile, Big Bill’s future remains uncertain, though his AEW contract is believed to be nearing expiration, reportedly around the end of May or early June 2026.

Big Bill has not appeared on AEW programming since a February parking lot street fight on Collision and has only wrestled twice for the company in 2026. Previous reports have indicated that WWE has interest in reuniting the former tag team.

Since his WWE release in January 2018, Amore has been active on the independent scene under the Real1 name. He has competed in promotions such as MLW, Northeast Wrestling, House of Glory, and GCW, while also pursuing a music career.

The legal case involving Amore in 2018 was closed with no charges filed.

Enzo and Cass were a popular tag team during their WWE run, particularly in NXT, where they held the NXT Tag Team Championship. Their partnership ended in 2017 following a split storyline on RAW, and Big Cass was later released in June 2018. He eventually joined AEW in 2024 as Big Bill.

Stephanie Vaquer WWE Return Delayed Again, Not Expected For RAW In Italy

Stephanie Vaquer WWE Return Delayed Again, Not Expected For RAW In Italy

Stephanie Vaquer’s return to WWE programming has been pushed back further, with a new update indicating she is not expected to be part of the upcoming RAW in Italy.

According to PWInsider, there had been internal discussion about bringing Vaquer back into storylines as early as this weekend. Creative ideas were even pitched for her to appear on Monday’s RAW. However, the latest information suggests those plans will not move forward at this time.

The report stated: “As we noted last week in the Elite section, there were some in the company who expected Stephanie Vaquer back in the storyline mix by this weekend. We were told this morning that there were pitches for her for Monday’s Raw but as of today, she was not expected to travel to Italy.”

Vaquer has been off television since the April 27 episode of RAW. She was written out through a backstage attack involving Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, who were aligned with Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan. During the segment, Perez drove an equipment box into Vaquer’s shoulder, setting up her absence.

On commentary, Michael Cole announced that Vaquer suffered a second-degree AC sprain. The injury was later confirmed as legitimate by Bryan Alvarez, with Dave Meltzer also reporting that it was real. Due to the injury, a planned match between Vaquer and Liv Morgan at Backlash on May 9 in Tampa had to be canceled.

The exact cause of the injury has not been confirmed. It remains unclear whether it happened before the April 27 segment or during that angle, though the storyline was used to explain her absence.

Vaquer has now been sidelined for over five weeks. WrestleVotes Radio previously noted that no clear return date was widely known within WWE, with internal expectations pointing to at least a six-week recovery period. Some within the company had speculated that her return could extend closer to SummerSlam.

Before her absence, Vaquer held the Women’s World Championship for 210 days. Her reign ended at WrestleMania 42 night one, where she lost the title to Liv Morgan in a match that was kept under seven minutes due to both competitors dealing with physical issues going into the event.

Jacob Fatu Injury Concern Emerges Ahead Of WWE Clash In Italy Match With Roman Reigns

Jacob Fatu Injury Concern Emerges Ahead Of WWE Clash In Italy Match With Roman Reigns

Jacob Fatu may be dealing with a potential injury just days before his scheduled Tribal Combat match against Roman Reigns at WWE Clash in Italy on May 31.

The concern stems from WWE’s recent live event in Liverpool, which marked the start of the company’s European tour. During the show, Fatu faced Solo Sikoa in a street fight and picked up the victory in what was described as a hard-hitting match. However, attention quickly shifted to what happened after the bout.

Fans in attendance shared observations on social media, noting that Fatu appeared to be favoring one leg as he made his way backstage. One attendee described the match as a “10/10” contest but pointed out that Fatu was limping after it ended and was met by medical personnel near the curtain. Another fan reported that Fatu seemed to land awkwardly during the match and looked to be in pain as he exited.

At this stage, there is no confirmation that Fatu has suffered a legitimate injury. Given the physical nature of a street fight, it is possible he was selling the effects of the match. Fatu has previously created similar concern with his in-ring selling, including an instance at Survivor Series WarGames 2024 where he appeared hurt but was later confirmed to be fine.

Fatu is set to challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship under Tribal Combat rules at the Inalpi Arena in Turin. The match comes after Reigns defeated Fatu at Backlash, only for Fatu to attack him after the bell. That confrontation led to further chaos on RAW, where Fatu targeted multiple members of The Bloodline, including The Usos. Facing potential consequences, Fatu issued the Tribal Combat challenge, which Reigns accepted.

Reigns enters the match with a perfect 2-0 record in Tribal Combat stipulations, having defeated Jey Uso at SummerSlam 2023 and Solo Sikoa on the RAW on Netflix premiere in 2025.

According to BetOnline odds, Reigns is currently listed as a -500 favorite to retain the championship, while Fatu is positioned as a +300 underdog heading into the match.

Leon Slater Expected To Leave TNA With WWE And AEW Interest

Leon Slater Expected To Leave TNA With WWE And AEW Interest

Leon Slater is reportedly expected to depart TNA once his current contract expires, with internal belief pointing toward a move to either WWE or AEW.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is a strong feeling within the wrestling industry that Slater will not remain with TNA long-term. His recent title loss has added to that speculation.

“Cedric Alexander beat Leon Slater to win the X Division title in a 2/3 fall match on the 5/14 live show from Sacramento. So Slater ended up tied with Austin Aries (2011-2012) for the longest X title run at 298 days. A lot of people were mad about them not letting him break the record, but the belief is Slater is gone to WWE or AEW when his contract is up.”

Slater’s X-Division Championship run lasted 298 days, tying him with Austin Aries for the longest reign in the title’s history. The decision to have him drop the title before breaking the record drew criticism from some, especially given his strong run and momentum in the division.

Beyond TNA, Slater has built experience across several promotions. He has competed in Revolution Pro Wrestling, Game Changer Wrestling, and Progress Wrestling. One of his key achievements came at RevPro Uprising 2023, where he captured the Undisputed British Cruiserweight Championship. His time on the British independent scene played a major role in his early development as a performer.

As of now, TNA has not issued any official statement regarding Slater’s contract status or future. Slater himself has also not publicly addressed the situation.

While nothing has been confirmed, the expectation within the industry remains that Slater will explore opportunities elsewhere once his deal expires. His in-ring ability and recent title run make him a notable free agent prospect if and when he becomes available.

Ronda Rousey Downplays Likelihood Of AEW Run: ‘It Just Happened To Be In Town

This past March, UFC Hall Of Famer Ronda Rousey made a shocking appearance at AEW Revolution when she confronted Toni Storm, who had just defeated Marina Shafir in singles action. Rousey’s involvement at the pay-per-view quickly led wrestling fans to speculate if the former WWE star would be stepping back inside the squared circle for a one-on-one match with Storm, but the Australian star would take time off after Revolution due to an undisclosed medial situation, which will reportedly keep her out of action for the remainder of the year. However, it seems like Rousey never had any intentions of working for AEW, having confirmed in a recent interview on the “Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams” that she’s not interested in wrestling again.

“No, that life of being on the road is probably more time consuming than doing training camp at home,” she stated. “I had a great time, but it just happened to be in town and my best friend was there.”

Throughout her career, Rousey has been vocal about her long-time friendship with Shafir, with both competitors having known each other from a young age when they took up judo together. Eventually, both women quit judo to pursue mixed martial arts before giving professional wrestling a try after finding success inside the octagon. Despite not wanting to compete full-time, Rousey did express interest in making occasional appearances in professional wrestling in the future.
