WWE Announces Return of King and Queen of the Ring

WWE Announces Return of King and Queen of the Ring

LA Knight made his first in-ring promo appearance on WWE RAW since before WrestleMania 42 and used the moment to reveal that the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will begin next week.

During the segment, Knight confirmed that he plans to enter the King of the Ring tournament, making it clear that his goal is to earn a shot at Roman Reigns and the World Heavyweight Championship. Knight addressed ongoing issues with The Bloodline but clarified that Reigns is currently his primary focus.

The promo was interrupted by Jimmy Uso, continuing the tension between Knight and the Bloodline. Before their confrontation escalated, Knight reiterated his intentions to move through the tournament and position himself for a title opportunity.

WWE Night of Champions is scheduled for June 27 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the event has hosted the tournament finals in recent years. However, Knight’s promo marked the first official mention of both tournaments in 2026. As of now, WWE has not released brackets or provided additional details, and commentary did not expand further on the announcement following the segment.

The King of the Ring tournament has a long history in WWE, dating back to 1985 before becoming a pay-per-view event in 1993. It has played a key role in elevating top stars, most notably Stone Cold Steve Austin, whose 1996 victory led to the iconic Austin 3:16 promo. Other notable winners include Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Edge, Brock Lesnar, Booker T, Sheamus, and Gunther.

The Queen of the Ring tournament is a more recent addition, originally introduced in 2021 as the Queen’s Crown. Zelina Vega won the inaugural tournament, and it has since evolved into the Queen of the Ring format. Recent winners include Jade Cargill and Nia Jax.

With both tournaments now confirmed to return, attention shifts to how WWE will structure the brackets and which superstars will compete as the road to Night of Champions begins.

Logan Paul Injured With Torn Triceps, Tag Team Titles Shift Within The Vision

Logan Paul Injured With Torn Triceps, Tag Team Titles Shift Within The Vision

During the May 25 episode of WWE RAW, Michael Cole announced that Logan Paul is injured, suffering a torn triceps at Saturday Night’s Main Event and will be out of action for several months.

The injury reportedly occurred during the WWE World Tag Team Championship match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where Logan Paul teamed with Austin Theory to successfully defend the titles against The Street Profits. WWE later aired footage of the moment the injury took place, showing the impact coming after a high-risk sequence involving Angelo Dawkins’ flipping senton to the outside.

The Vision To Freebird WWE World Tag Team Titles

Despite the injury, The Vision will remain in control of the WWE World Tag Team Championships. Backstage on Raw, Austin Theory was seen questioning the future of the titles, even suggesting that he return them to Paul Heyman.

However, Heyman quickly shut down the idea, explaining that The Vision’s contracts ensure the titles must always be defended. He then clarified that Theory now has a new tag team partner in Bron Breakker, as the group continues to hold the championships despite the setback.

The situation leaves Theory and Breakker as the active champions moving forward, while Logan Paul begins his recovery timeline. Another member of The Vision, Bronson Reed, is also currently sidelined with a biceps injury, further impacting the faction’s overall lineup.

Reed had recently shared an update photo on social media showing his continued physical conditioning during recovery.

The Vision’s dominance in the tag team division continues, but the group is now operating under unexpected injury complications that have reshaped their structure heading into the coming weeks.

Oba Femi Says He’s Fighting to Kill Brock Lesnar

Oba Femi Says He’s Fighting to Kill Brock Lesnar

WWE RAW on May 25 opened with Paul Heyman in the ring, setting the stage for what he described as the biggest rematch in wrestling history this Sunday at WWE Clash in Italy.

Heyman introduced himself to the crowd before immediately shifting focus to the upcoming showdown between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi, telling the audience that history would be made when Lesnar steps back into the ring.

Heyman stated that Brock Lesnar would be returning with one goal in mind: to conquer Oba Femi. He claimed Lesnar never got the chance to properly congratulate Femi for his previous victory at WrestleMania, where Oba managed to defeat the former champion in dominant fashion. According to Heyman, that loss did not sit well with Lesnar, who now intends to make a definitive statement in their rematch.

Heyman added that while Lesnar can withstand punishment, the same question remains for Oba Femi. He warned that the “Beast” has been awakened and that Sunday’s match will be about destruction and control.

As the tension escalated, the arena lights went out and Oba Femi made his entrance. Standing face-to-face with Heyman, Femi delivered a direct response, stating that if Heyman believes he awakened the Beast, he should consider what that same force has created within him.

Femi addressed the previous encounter with Lesnar, saying the attack did not break him but instead ignited something stronger. He made it clear that he does not intend to harm Heyman, stating he needs him alive to deliver what happens after the match.

The challenger then issued a final message to Lesnar, saying that while their first encounter was about winning, the upcoming rematch carries a far more personal intent.

Femi closed the segment by stating that this time, he is not fighting simply to beat Brock Lesnar, but to kill Brock Lesnar, signaling a dangerous escalation ahead of their clash.

FTR AEW Future Draws WWE Interest After AEW Tag Title Loss at Double or Nothing 2026

FTR AEW Future Draws WWE Interest After AEW Tag Title Loss at Double or Nothing 2026

The future of FTR in All Elite Wrestling has become a major talking point following reports that WWE is showing renewed interest in the former AEW World Tag Team Champions after their loss at Double or Nothing 2026.

FTR, consisting of Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, dropped the AEW World Tag Team Championships in an “I Quit” match against Adam Copeland and Christian Cage at the event. The stipulation-heavy bout marked a major shift in AEW’s tag team landscape and immediately sparked discussion about what could come next for the former champions.

Before joining AEW in 2020, FTR competed in WWE under the name The Revival, where they were positioned as one of the most technically proficient tag teams of their era. Since arriving in AEW, they have established themselves as one of the promotion’s cornerstone teams across multiple eras.

Their AEW run began alongside manager Tully Blanchard and included a dominant early undefeated streak. The team later captured the AEW World Tag Team Championships by defeating Kenny Omega and Adam Page at All Out 2020, marking their first major title success in the company.

FTR also became central figures in several of AEW’s most acclaimed tag team rivalries, including their 2022 program with The Briscoe Brothers, widely regarded as one of the standout feuds in the promotion’s tag division history. During this period, they also transitioned into fan favorites after initially being aligned with MJF’s Pinnacle faction as antagonists.

In 2023, Harwood and Wheeler secured their second AEW Tag Team Title reign by defeating The Gunns in a “Title vs. Career” match. After dealing with injuries and fluctuating creative direction, the duo regained momentum in late 2025 and returned to the top of the division heading into 2026.

According to a report from BodySlam, FTR signed four-year AEW contracts in 2023 and are now approaching an option year in those deals. While there is no indication they are leaving AEW imminently, internal discussions regarding their long-term value and positioning within the company are said to be increasing.

The same report noted that there has been at least preliminary WWE interest communicated through mutual contacts, although no formal talks or negotiations have taken place. WWE is also reportedly working to strengthen its tag team division, which could make an experienced act like FTR a valuable addition if circumstances change.

For now, FTR remain under AEW contract, but their future is once again a focal point in the ongoing competition between the two promotions.
