Angel Garza Thanks Fans In Cryptic Post Following WWE Raw Squash Against Oba Femi

WWE’s Angel Garza seemed to tease an exit from the promotion following his loss to Oba Femi on “WWE Raw.”

Los Garza, the duo of Berto and Angel (formerly Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza), made an appearance on “Raw” this week, when they were dragged out to the ring by Oba Femi after he was informed by “Raw” GM Adam Pearce that no one wanted to answer his Open Challenge. The former NXT Champion soundly defeated the duo in a handicap match, and following the match, Garza posted on X, thanking fans for supporting the Garza wrestling family.

“Thank you to everyone who never jumped off the ship and kept supporting the Garza Legacy through it all,” he said.

Angel and Berto’s appearance on the red brand was a surprise as the duo is a part of the “WWE SmackDown” roster, with their last matches on “Raw” taking place way back in 2023. Aside from wrestling on “SmackDown,” Los Garza have featured primarily on WWE Main Event, as well as WWE’s new promotion, AAA. The duo’s recent title successes in pro wrestling have also come in the Mexican promotion, as they held the AAA World Tag Team Championship, which they won last year and held for two months before losing to Pagano and Psycho Clown.

Meanwhile, Oba Femi has continued his dominance since his incredible win against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, defeating Grayson Waller and Otis on “Raw,” with the Open Challenge set to continue next week.

WWE HOFer Eric Bischoff Thinks Triple H Deserves A Raise

Paul “Triple H” Levesque recently re-signed with WWE, which Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff has backed, stating that the Chief Content Officer even deserves a raise.

Bischoff, speaking on his “83 Weeks” podcast, touched on reports that TKO executives interfered with WWE storylines, with many alleging they undermined Paul Levesque and his creative team in doing so. Bischoff feels this warrants a raise for Levesque and said his new deal is not a surprise.

“Certainly not surprised that he got another one [contract]. And hopefully he got a raise because I think, if anything, the last couple of WrestleManias where you’ve had interference from people who really don’t understand the audience as well as they think they do,” he said.

Bischoff acknowledged that Ari Emanuel and his team at TKO have vast experience in the entertainment business, but argued that the pro wrestling audience is entirely different from other entertainment audiences.

“And I don’t mean that with disrespect because obviously Ari Emanuel and the people around him have forgotten more about entertainment and connecting with the audience than yours truly will ever experience. That being said, he doesn’t have as much experience with the wrestling audience, which is a very unique audience,” Bischoff added. “From the outside, especially if you think, you know, how things work in entertainment, and you do, based on your experience in feature films and television and other forms of entertainment, you do have an instinct. Unfortunately, that instinct doesn’t completely apply to the wrestling audience.”

TKO executive Mark Shapiro had earlier this year claimed that TKO has full creative control of WWE, in response to questions about celebrity involvement at WrestleMania 42, which was widely criticized by fans.

Ronda Rousey Felt Like ‘Someone Else’s Impression’ Of Herself In WWE

Ronda Rousey has expressed her displeasure at not being allowed to be her authentic self in WWE, a point she once again touched upon.

Rousey, who worked under Vince McMahon in WWE, said in an interview with “Complex News” that the character she portrayed in the promotion was not her true self. While she admits that she had fun in the ring, she wasn’t able to show her natural side on the mic.

“I felt like I was doing somebody else’s impression of myself [in WWE],” said Rousey. “You can tell when I was allowed to write my own promos and when I wasn’t, you know, and I learned a lot from it. And I really, you know, enjoyed my time in the ring. I didn’t really enjoy being under the death throes of Vince McMahon’s reign. But there were a lot of great experiences in there.”

The former UFC star has previously claimed that McMahon did not want to collaborate with her in WWE, describing McMahon’s approach as a “negotiation” rather than a “collaboration.” Rousey, who returned to WWE for a second stint that lasted about a year, said that McMahon — who was embroiled in controversy at the time — was just as tough, if not tougher, to work with. She stated that things were often finalized at the last minute during that period and added that she was eager to see Paul “Triple H” Levesque take control of proceedings in WWE.

Rousey, it seems, may not be returning to WWE anytime soon, as she prepares for her return to the MMA world. She also appears to be enjoying her time in AEW more than she did in WWE.

Jacob Fatu Recalls Failed WWE Tryout Alongside AEW’s Eddie Kingston

Once upon a time ago, Jacob Fatu was just like any other independent wrestler looking for his big break. But it turns out that his first tryout was unsuccessful, thus causing WWE to pump the brakes on signing “The Samoan Werewolf.”  Although most wouldn’t want to reminisce on any sort of rejection they’ve faced in their lifetime, Fatu found the opportunity as a moment of empowerment, now that the “all gas, no brakes” Superstar is one of the biggest draws on the main roster today.

“I had a tryout 2015, ’16, and man, I was told I would never work here because of the mistakes that I made when I was 18,” the former one-time Men’s United States Champion revealed on “Cheap Heat.” “But I remember being told no. And man, I just broke down. I was crying. I didn’t have anything else to do.”

At his tryout, he faced none other than the inaugural and former AEW Continental Champion Eddie Kingston. Having wrestled him before, Fatu noted how selfless “The Mad King” was at showcasing the best version of Fatu in front of the coaches. Despite the brush-off, Kingston promised him that he was destined for greatness. And that one day, WWE would take notice.

“Eddie was so dope, man, to where he already seen something in me,” he complimented. “Not saying I didn’t believe in myself…he literally said, ‘Whatever you want to do, I’m here for you…You’re going to be great one day.'”

Before Fatu officially landed in the Stamford-based promotion full-time, he went on to rule Major League Wrestling, as the notorious leader for CONTRA Unit. His time there was paved in gold, as he became and remains a former one-time and longest-ever MLW World Heavyweight Champion in company history at 819 days. He may not have won the World Heavyweight Championship from Roman Reigns at Backlash this past Saturday, but the path toward chasing the title and the animosity he has towards his cousin is far from over.

WWE RAW 5/11/2026: 3 Things We Hated & 3 Things We Loved

So Roman Reigns went into “WWE Raw” a little — as Jimmy Uso put it — delusional, thinking that after what happened on Saturday Jacob Fatu would be turning up to acknowledge his “Tribal Chief.” I need what he had been smoking before this.

Adam Pearce tried to talk him around at the top of the show, given he got put on his rear-end backwards trying to prevent Fatu from killing Reigns at Backlash. Reigns, instead, talked Pearce around to just letting him waltz back in the building so that he could put his little cousin in check. Jey Uso opted to try and talk Fatu around, while his brother told Reigns about his delusional approach to things.

Nevertheless, Reigns turned up to the main event with the same energy. He had got the official win on Saturday after cheating to survive, but he was the “Tribal Chief” and he was going to be acknowledged as that.

Fatu turned up on all of the smoke he was the last time he was death gripping Reigns to oblivion, with Jey yapping and yeeting at him to stop and think – he really wanted him to think about it – to no avail. He finally stepped in front of Fatu because that was just a solid plan of action, got headbutted for the solid plan of action it was, and Jimmy got dropped as well.

In the ring, Reigns still thought he held all of the cards. Fatu reminded him he didn’t, taking all Reigns could offer and still getting the better of him. He put him through the announcer’s table, did a whole lot more Tongan Death Gripping, put Pearce on his buttocks all over again, and then returned a little bit later to smash his own buttocks through Reigns, the Usos checking on him, and the barricade.

Outside of not losing the title to him, Reigns has put the “Samoan Werewolf” over the moon in recent weeks. And it’s fitting too, with Fatu being one of, if not the, most exciting talents on the roster right now. Not many people get the better of Reigns one week, let alone every week they have interacted, and sure he lost the title match but even after that he got his heat back and then some.

Thoroughly enjoying all of the program as it has gone, though it would be nice to see the potential of Fatu realized and legitimized with a win down the line.
