MJF Finally Granted AEW World Title Rematch, With One Major Stipulation

MJF secured his Double or Nothing rematch with Darby Allin for the AEW World Championship, on the condition that he puts his preciously transplanted hair on the line.

As Wednesday’s “AEW Dynamite” turned into “AEW Collision” Allin had very little time to celebrate his latest title retention over Kevin Knight before MJF emerged to demand a rematch – like he has done each week since losing the title the Wednesday following Dynasty in April.

Much like the times before, Allin declined unless MJF put something on the line himself. But when MJF offered, facetiously, to put his Burberry scarf on the line, Allin said no. MJF then got serious and said he would put either his Dynamite Diamond Ring or $1 million on the line, and Allin still said no.

MJF asked what it would take for him to agree, and that’s when Allin said he wanted what MJF held so dearly that he traveled to Turkey to have it sewn on: his hair. For his part, MJF did not answer the challenge and walked off. Although Allin made it clear if he didn’t show up then he would not be getting another opportunity at the title.

Allin was then left to field another challenge from International Champion Kazuchika Okada, coming down to the ring and challenging him to a World title match during next week’s show. Allin got ahead of Okada in calling him a “b****” and accepted the challenge before taking his leave to draw the segment to a close.

Darby Allin Overcomes AEW TNT Champion To Retain World Title

Darby Allin is still AEW World Champion after defeating TNT Champion Kevin Knight in the main event of “AEW Dynamite” on Wednesday. With the match, Tony Schiavone noted on commentary that Allin became the first champion to defend the gold over three consecutive weeks.

The bout was evenly matched to begin, and was technical to start out. The men turned each other inside out with a double clothesline before Knight knocked Allin off the top rope with a hurricanrana. He then sent the champion flying over the ropes to the outside.

Allin took out Knight with a suicide dive and set his challenger up on a chair at ringside before going to the top rope to look for the dropkick. Knight was on his feet to meet Allin from the apron, however, and sent him back to the floor with another hurricanrana. Knight then put the champion on the commentary desk and hit a big springboard clothesline from the top rope.

Knight came up clutching his knee and back in the ring, he went to leap from the second rope, but Allin caught him and locked in the Scorpion Death Lock. Knight got to the ropes, then countered the Coffin Drop by getting his knees up. He then hit the coast-to-coast dropkick, followed by the UFO Splash.

Allin kicked out and locked in a guillotine. The champion got Knight over the top rope and hit a coffin drop to him there, followed by another with Knight on the canvas to retain the AEW World Championship.

Kazuchika Okada Retains AEW International Title, Sets Sights On World Title

Kazuchika Okada might be looking forward to his AEW International Championship match with Konosuke Takeshita at AEW Double or Nothing 2026, but to prepare himself, he had a defense to make on the May 6 episode of “AEW Dynamite” against Bryan Keith. Despite “The Bounty Hunter” giving his best effort throughout, it was “The Rainmaker” who retained his title.

Okada busted out a lot of his old tricks with his trademark smile like the DDT on the floor. However, Keith was able to hang in there with “The Rainmaker” throughout, including delivering a number of chops that severely bruised Okada’s chest. Coming out of the commercial break, Keith even managed to counter Okada’s DDT on the floor and turned into one of his own.

Despite being confident during the major moments, it was clear that Okada underestimated Keith as he hit his Elbow Drop off and gave the middle finger to the crowd, but he was met with a stiff knee strike that halted Okada’s momentum. Keith managed to avoid two Rainmakers and held onto the ropes when Okada went for a Drop Kick, allowing him to try and hit the Tiger Driver but failed on the first two occasions. However, he was able to hit it at the third time of asking but only got a near fall. He wanted to follow it up with the Diamond Dust, but Okada countered by hitting a modified Electric Chair Slam. This allowed Okada to pick Keith up, hit the Rainmaker, and get the win to retain his title.

After the match, Okada grabbed the microphone and decided to become the latest star to throw his name into the AEW Men’s World Championship picture. He called everyone a b****, made sure to note that he still has the AEW International Championship, unlike Takeshita, and walked away wanting more gold.

Ricochet Makes Bold Stadium Stampede Challenge For AEW Double Or Nothing

Ricochet challenged Chris Jericho to Stadium Stampede at Double or Nothing during “AEW Dynamite.”

Ricochet and Jericho have been feuding since the latter returned to the promotion for the first time in a year, losing his comeback match to the former at Dynasty in April. Since then, he and the Demand have made it their mission to oust Jericho from whence he came, thus culminating during this week’s show as Jericho called Ricochet out to the ring.

Ricochet challenged Jericho to a Stadium Stampede match on account of him believing that he would not be able to find the allies required. One half of that was dispelled as the Hurt Syndicate’s Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin emerged to make the save for Jericho and signified they would be on his side once again.

Presuming the bout is fought under the five-versus-five ruleset of the years before, both men will be tasked with finding two more members for each team.

This will be the first Stadium Stampede since All In 2023, and the first to take place at Double or Nothing since 2021, having been debuted during the pandemic era in 2020. The bout had been replaced at the event by Anarchy in the Arena in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
