Nikki Cross Teases Nikki Storm Return After WWE Release

Nikki Cross Teases Nikki Storm Return After WWE Release

New developments are pointing toward a possible return to a familiar identity for Nikki Cross following her recent WWE departure, as fresh trademark activity suggests she may be revisiting her roots outside the company.

Cross was part of the wave of releases that saw 25 WWE talents let go last Friday, including the rest of the Wyatt Sicks faction. The decision raised eyebrows among fans, especially considering how frequently she had been featured in various roles throughout her time with the company.

Not long after the news surfaced, trademark filings began to circulate under the name Best in the Galaxy Wrestling, LLC. Among the filings were “Nikki Storm” and “The Best In The Galaxy,” both of which are closely tied to her pre WWE career before signing in 2016. The move has sparked speculation that a return to that persona could already be in motion.

The Nikki Storm trademark was officially submitted on April 28 and outlines a wide range of uses tied to the name, including wrestling appearances, media work, and promotional content.

“Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Providing online interviews featuring professional wrestler and sports entertainer in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.”

The filing also makes it clear that merchandising could play a key role in the revival of the name, with several product categories listed.

“Shirts; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts; Hats; Bandanas; Socks. Printed comic books; Printed graphic novels.”

In addition, a second trademark was registered for “The Best In The Galaxy,” a nickname that was synonymous with her earlier run. That filing includes similar language covering entertainment services and merchandise, further strengthening the idea of a full rebrand.

Fueling the speculation even more, Cross appeared to acknowledge the buzz online. After the filings became public, she shared a photo of herself wearing a Nikki Storm shirt along with a winking emoji, a subtle tease that quickly caught the attention of fans.

AEW Dynamite – 4/29/2026: 3 Things We Hated And 3 Things We Loved

AEW has a problem booking its women’s division. The sky is blue, water is wet.

I don’t want to sound like a broken record that everyone seems to have been playing for the past seven years, but for as good as Divine Dominion vs. Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida was in a vacuum, something needs to be said about what has happened to poor Kris Statlander.

This is being written immediately after the April 29 episode of “AEW Dynamite,” meaning that I can technically say that it was only last month that Statlander was the AEW Women’s World Champion. She was defending her title in a two-out-of-three falls match on pay-per-view, she had beaten both Mercedes Mone and “Timeless” Toni Storm, and she looked to have finally managed to incorporate her original alien gimmick into her current character, which made her even more interesting. Now she’s in the midcard, again, like seriously, what the hell happened?

Don’t get me wrong, I understand that Megan Bayne and Lena Kross need challengers because right now they have precisely no one to feud against. Giving them two former world champions who kind of get along but not always is credible enough to make them look strong, but the whiplash on what has happened to Statlander in particular is just crazy. I’m not saying they shouldn’t have given the belt to Thekla because she’s doing a great job, but Statlander is a classic case in AEW’s women’s division of when you don’t have a belt, you’re just there. Look at Willow Nightingale, she is on TV every week again, because she has a title. If Thekla drops the world title to someone at Double or Nothing, she’d probably disappear as well, as would Divine Dominion.

You can say the same thing for Hikaru Shida as well. First woman to hold the AEW Women’s World Championship three times, and she’s plodding around in the midcard wrestling like a babyface but acting like a heel, give her something to do. Give all these fantastic women something to do that doesn’t involve titles, and with Storm and Mone still out, Statlander and Shida are perfect candidates to build the division around, but instead, they’re doing this.

Statlander, in particular, is one of the most naturally gifted athletes in AEW. She is someone who can be THE face of the women’s division, but the level of disrespect in her booking (which includes some of her title reign as well) is ridiculous. Hopefully something comes of this because if it doesn’t, I’d suggest Statlander look for a new place of work. Do better, Tony Khan, it’s getting exhausting now.

Sean Strickland Goes On Racist Rant Against UFC 328 Opponent Khamzat Chimaev

Sean Strickland didn’t hold back when talking about his UFC 328 opponent, Middleweight Champion Khamzat Chimaev.

Strickland will challenge Chimaev for the title on May 9, looking to become a two-time champion while also beating a man he has a deeply personal rivalry with.

Strickland has repeatedly called Chimaev a terrorist, citing a relationship between Chimaev and Ramzat Kadyrov, Head of the Chechen Republic and wanted war criminal. And that has since spurred on a back-and-forth that continued during a media scrum with Strickland (via “MMA Mania”).

“I’mma pull my gun out. I’m going to shoot him,” Strickland said if Chimaev tried to approach him on the street. “That being said, if Chimaev were to come up to me as a gentleman and say, ‘Hey you know what, you said some things, you insulted my wife. I actually love sheep. It’s crazy.’ Then I would be like, ‘I love goats, dude. You know, goat tastes good.’ He loves goats, we have that in common. I just don’t f*** them.”

Strickland continued, “Anyways, if you were to come up to me like a man, say, ‘You know, Sean, you said some things about my dad [Ramzan] Kadyrov.’ I’m like, ‘Well you know what, dude, you wh***d yourself out, not me.’ I would say, ‘Let’s settle this like a man.’ But if you come up to me with three f***ing goat f***er Chechnyans that don’t speak English, I’m going to pull my gun and I’m going to shoot each and every one of you.”

Strickland went on to contrast his feelings fighting someone like Anthony Hernandez in February as opposed to someone like Chimaev.

“I love fighting and I’m stoked that I get to f***ing fight a little f***ing w***e,” he said. “Fluffy Hernandez, I mean I wanted to fight ’cause it was a good fight, but like I like the guy. He’s a great f***ing guy. He’s a true American. We’ve got to talk about the Mexican flag he represents, but he’s a good American.”

AEW World Champion Darby Allin Bests Brody King

Darby Allin is still AEW World Champion after a successful victory over Brody King in the main event of “AEW Dynamite” on Wednesday. He moves on to face TNT Champion Kevin Knight next week, after he challenged “The Jet” earlier in the night.

King didn’t go down without a fight. Allin tried the strategy that won him the title from MJF initially, going for the hits to take King out early, but it didn’t work. Allin avoided the Gonzo Bomb and hit a Code Red off the ropes, but King kicked out. Allin attempted a suicide dive, but bounced right off King.

The pair battled on the outside after King hit a huge chop to the champion that sent him over the top rope. King cleared off the commentary desk, then sent them both crashing through the top of the desk he propped up on the barricade. King looked for a Gonzo Bomb on the desk, but Allin hit the Code Red again.

King almost had the champion pinned with a big lariat, then another, but when that didn’t work, he threw Allin over the top rope right onto a camera man below. King then tried to drag him, but Allin also brought the padding on the floor with him, exposing the concrete below. King looked to hit Allin with the cannonball, but Allin moved at the last second, sending the challenger crashing through the barricade.

Allin was able to power bomb King on the exposed concrete, then hit a Coffin Drop from the middle rope. King beat the 10 count to get back in the ring, but Allin hit back-to-back Coffin Drops for the win.
