WWE Raw Viewership & Ratings Report, 4/20/2026

With “WWE Raw” viewership on the upswing throughout the Road to WrestleMania, anticipation was high that the “Raw” after WrestleMania could be one of, if not the most, viewed episodes the red brand would produce in 2026. And while there’s still plenty of the year left for “Raw” to top it, the “Raw” after Mania number seems like it will be tough to beat.

Wrestlenomics reports that the post-Mania “Raw,” taking place on April 20, drew 3.3 million total views over the course of the week. Not only was this up from 2.9 million views on April 13, but it is good enough to be the highest viewed “Raw” of 2026 so far, topping the 3.2 million total views drawn by the first “Raw” of 2026 on January 5. The episode also did well in hours viewed, drawing 6.5 million hours viewed, up from 5.6 million, and easily topping January 5’s 5.9 million hours viewed for the highest number in that category.

The good news extended into Netflix’s rankings, even if there was minimal change overall. Globally, “Raw” placed 4th, up from 5th. Oddly enough, the show managed to beat the new Netflix documentary on Hulk Hogan, which premiered last week by drawing 3.0 million views and placing 5th. Domestically, “Raw” also placed 4th, also up from 5th. In both cases, it’s the highest “Raw” has placed in Netflix’s global rankings all year, and the second highest domestically behind 3rd place rankings for “Raw” episodes on March 2, 16, and 23.

“Raw” featured plenty of post-WrestleMania developments, arguably none bigger than Roman Reigns’ first appearance following his WWE World Heavyweight Championship victory over CM Punk. Reigns wasted no time developing a new rivalry, having a confrontation with his cousin and Backlash opponent Jacob Fatu. Elsewhere, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes had a segment with CM Punk, teasing a future matchup between the two.

Nikki Bella Details Injury That Led To Change In WWE WrestleMania 42 Plans

Nikki explained that her ankle was taped up tight during “WWE Raw” at MSG, and she was asked if she was able to do a walk-in, rather than a run-in, during the Women’s Tag Team Championship match. She said when she got to back and the tape was cut off, which was insanely painful; suddenly she was told she needed an MRI the following day.

“Then I get the call, and sometimes calls aren’t that quick after an MRI, so when I saw one of our doctors calling, I was like, ‘Oh gosh,'” Nikki explained. “I answer and they’re like, ‘Don’t know how you managed to do all of it.’ They just broke it down to me that I tore, sprained, and fractured my ankle.”

Nikki said that missing the WrestleMania four-way match for the women’s tag titles was hard in the moment. She said The Bellas aren’t in their 30s with many more moments left in their wrestling careers, and she doesn’t think a WrestleMania moment is going to come around for her.

“I get that I’ll probably have my last WrestleMania next year in Saudi, maybe, but other than that, that’ll be it for me,” Nikki said. “This would have been my last WrestleMania moment to share with family members… I’ve worked really hard the last year and a half. I haven’t complained. I’ve done what I’ve been told… I’ve been very okay taking a step back and helping out and not b******* about it. This was my moment that I worked really hard for this past year and a half. So for that to all go away is extremely hard.”

Jeff Jarrett Thinks WWE ‘Pulled The Rug Out From Under’ WrestleMania Main Eventer

At this point, the series finale of “How I Met Your Mother” may have a more positive reception than the WrestleMania 42 rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. Once hotly anticipated, the build up for the Undisputed WWE Championship match between them wound up getting marred by the involvement of celebrities Pat McAfee and Jelly Roll, leading to a Night One WrestleMania main event that many considered to be underwhelming.

Triple H’s WWE Future Was Under Internal Scrutiny Before New Deal

Despite Paul Levesque securing a new long term agreement with WWE, fresh insight suggests his future as Chief Content Officer was not always as secure behind closed doors as it appeared.

While Nick Khan recently confirmed during a TKO Group Holdings town hall that Levesque will remain in his role for the foreseeable future, internal conversations within WWE reportedly painted a more uncertain picture in the lead up to WrestleMania 42.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live on April 28, Bryan Alvarez revealed that discussions about Triple H’s position were taking place internally, not just among fans online. According to Alvarez, the debate was not rooted in criticism of Levesque’s creative direction, but instead focused on repeated late changes coming from outside influences.

“Sometimes there will be some things that are booked and fans won’t like it, and then they’ll try to get this traction going that maybe we need to replace Triple H. I will say that this year, leading to WrestleMania, unlike previous years when fans were discussing it, it was a topic of conversation in WWE leading up to WrestleMania 42.”

Alvarez stressed that the concern was not about performance, but about how much control Levesque truly had, especially with key creative shifts happening close to showtime. One example included Pat McAfee being added into the storyline involving Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, reportedly due to TKO involvement.

“I want to make it very clear, the people discussing this within WWE were not discussing this in the sense that, ‘We think he’s doing a horrible job, we need him to be replaced.’ It was being discussed specifically because so much stuff was being done at the last second by people outside. The decision to bring in Pat McAfee, the decision to insert him into the storyline, the thing with Jelly Roll, I heard about it prior to that as well with other things that had come from above.”

That uncertainty led to broader internal questions about leadership confidence and creative control.

“It was just kind of, there was a feeling that perhaps these people keep getting involved, and why would they keep getting involved if they have so much faith in this guy? And there were people who thought, ‘I don’t know if this guy’s gonna be around at this time next year.’”

With Levesque now officially tied to a new multi year deal, those doubts appear to have been settled for the time being.

“Turns out he ends up getting his deal extended, so he will be around. But there was a discussion point that, ‘This may not be his thing for a long period of time, it could be over soon.’”
