Injury Update On Trey Miguel, Former TNA International Champion

Injuries are an unfortunate part of sports and there’s no good time to get them. One of the worst is during a match, but that can be exacerbated when it’s a title match. That’s what happened to Trey Miguel at TNA Rebellion. He was defending the International Championship against Mustafa Ali when his injury occurred. Miguel revealed that he finished the match while injured. Ali would defeat him, ending Miguel’s reign at 57 days.

In a social media update from Miguel, he announced that his patella is broken. “Luckily no surgery should be necessary. Learning this blows my mind when I think about the fact that I finished that match against Mustafa Ali at Rebellion. It’s going to take some time, but I’ll see you all again soon.” He included a picture from the doctor’s office where you can see his leg in a knee brace.

Wrestling Observer had an update on Friday on Miguel. It was reported that it will be 4 to 6 weeks before he can begin training for an in-ring return. Miguel returned to TNA in late January after being released from AEW and won the International Championship on February 13 when he defeated “WWE NXT” Superstar, Stacks.

WWE Star Je’Von Evans Knows He’ll Eventually Have To Change In-Ring Style

At just the age of 21, Je’Von Evans is the youngest active member of WWE’s main roster. With his affinity for the air, he’s also established himself as the bounciest.

While appearing on the “Club 520 Podcast,” Evans addressed his high-flying in-ring style, specifically pertaining to its future in WWE. To the surprise of many fans, Evans suggested that it may actually not be here to stay for the long-term.

“Honestly, it’s just something that I’m doing right now, for real,” Evans said. “You know what I mean? I want to be like a top dog here. I know like me doing all this, these cool moves, is going to get my foot in the door, but it’s not going to keep me in the room. You know what I mean? So I’m doing all this now just to have fun with the crowd and build a connection with the kids. Stuff like that. But by the time I get older, I’m trying to be one of them dogs, somebody that don’t gotta do the flips. You feel me?”

As a part of Evans’ current in-ring arsenal, fans typically see him take flight to deliver suicide dives, springboard clotheslines, or his double springboard cutter finisher known as the OG Cutter. Evans’ aerial acts were further enhanced by the recent Ladder Match environment in which he competed during night two of WWE WrestleMania 42. At one point, Evans even seemed on the verge of snagging the WWE Intercontinental Championship hanging above the ring, but thanks to a ladder removal from Rusev, Evans himself hung by the strap of the belt instead.

Ilja Dragunov Comments On WWE WrestleMania 42 Absence For Himself & Carmelo Hayes

There are only so many matches that can fit on to a WWE WrestleMania card, and of all the people left off WrestleMania 42, Ilja Dragunov and Carmelo Hayes were two of the most glaring omissions. The two men were feuding over the WWE United States Championship heading into WrestleMania 42 but didn’t make the cut for the card when Hayes lost the title to Sami Zayn, who proceeded to lose the belt to Trick Williams at the big event. However, during a recent interview with “Ringer Wrestling,” Dragunov revealed that he isn’t too disappointed about him and Hayes being left off the show.

“Disappointment is such a hard word, like I’m living my absolute best life, like I am,” Dragunov said. “I have amazing performances with Carmelo, and I think honestly everything that we achieved together, from NXT to the main roster, not having a match at WrestleMania this year is only one thing that we don’t have compared to all the things that we achieved in front of that audience.”

Dragunov went on to say that people will hold the matches and moments that he and Hayes gave them in their hearts and that’s what matters most. “All the memories and moments we gave to the people that were watching us fighting, there’s nothing that anyone can take away from us,” Dragunov said. “People will remember this and somewhere down the line, it’s all going to make sense.”

“The Mad Dragon” rounded off by saying that he and Hayes both bring the fire in the ring, but for Hayes, missing out on one WrestleMania isn’t the end of the world when he likely has so many to look forward to in the coming years. “Looking at him, how much he connects with the audience, how much people like are on their feet when he has his entrance, like not having a match this year on WrestleMania is not going to do any harm to him.”

Jamie Hayter Injury Update Suggests Quick AEW Return

Jamie Hayter Injury Update Suggests Quick AEW Return

All Elite Wrestling may not be without Jamie Hayter for long, despite her recent removal from in-ring action.

Hayter was pulled from competition after AEW confirmed on AEW Dynamite that she was not medically cleared following her physical match with Thekla at AEW Dynasty. The announcement led to changes on the AEW Collision card, where Persephone stepped in to team with Alex Windsor against Thekla and Skye Blue.

At the time, no details were provided regarding the nature of Hayter’s injury or how long she might be out of action. That uncertainty raised questions about her short-term status and the direction of her storyline.

However, Hayter has now addressed the situation directly. Posting on social media on April 24, 2026, she downplayed the severity of the issue and suggested her return could come quickly.

“I’ll be alright by next week or so, no big deal 😛”

Her statement presents a different tone from AEW’s initial update, which indicated she was not cleared to compete. Based on her comments, the injury may be less serious than first believed.

While her confidence points to a fast recovery, her return will still depend on receiving full medical clearance. Until that happens, AEW will continue to manage her involvement carefully.

The update shifts focus to how quickly Hayter can resume her program with Thekla. Their match at AEW Dynasty was positioned as a key part of ongoing storylines, and her absence required immediate adjustments.

If Hayter is cleared as soon as she expects, AEW may be able to continue those plans without a long delay. For now, her status appears to be a short-term setback rather than a significant injury.

JBL Reacts to CM Punk Phone Incident During WrestleMania 42 Weekend

JBL Reacts to CM Punk Phone Incident During WrestleMania 42 Weekend

John Bradshaw Layfield shared his thoughts on the recent incident involving CM Punk during WrestleMania 42 weekend, where footage showed Punk slapping a phone out of a fan’s hand.

The situation, which was reported by TMZ, involved a fan filming AJ Lee and Bayley in a hotel lobby. Punk reacted by knocking the phone away, sparking discussion online about whether his actions were justified.

Speaking on Something To Wrestle, JBL made it clear he understood Punk’s reaction and did not view it as a major issue.

“I don’t blame him. That’s his wife, and I don’t blame him one at all. He’s taking care of his wife. He’s protecting her, and I think I would have done probably the same thing, right or wrong. I have no idea if it’s right or wrong. I don’t know what the laws are regarding it. I don’t think it was an invasion of privacy, and if somebody asked him not to do it, he should have stopped. And getting the phone slapped out of your hand, that’s not a big deal. So what, you know, hey, you have a story the rest of your life to tell about it. But I don’t think it’s a big deal, and I don’t blame CM Punk for doing that,” JBL said.

JBL also spoke about his own experience with fans during the same weekend. He noted that he did not encounter any problems, despite the large number of people in Las Vegas.

“I had none. There were a lot of fans. I stayed at the Horseshoe hotel and they were fantastic. The fans were very, very nice. Maybe I’m just not famous enough. Maybe nobody gives a shit about me. I had a lot of people tell me Bradshaw 316 and I appreciate all you guys for telling me that. A fan should know better than filming somebody in the bathroom. I mean, come on, that’s just basic human knowledge. It’s not something that you should have to have security for,” JBL said.

JBL added that basic boundaries should be respected, especially in private or sensitive settings. While the incident involving Punk continues to draw attention, JBL’s comments reflect a perspective that prioritizes personal space and respect.

The footage remains a topic of discussion among fans, but no further action has been reported following the incident.
