AEW’s Kenny Omega Comments On Jade Cargill Using His Finisher At WWE WrestleMania 42

The tribalism between WWE and AEW seems to exist mostly among fans, as wrestlers from both promotions appear to get along well, with recent evidence of this being AEW’s Kenny Omega approving WWE star Jade Cargill using his famed finisher.

At WrestleMania 42, Cargill put her WWE Women’s Championship on the line against women’s Elimination Chamber winner Rhea Ripley. In the match, which Cargill lost, she performed Omega’s One Winged Angel finisher, which surprised many fans on social media. Omega, though, gave his former AEW colleague the seal of approval in his post on X, which was accompanied by a GIF of a cat giving a thumbs up.

“When I see the moves I do elsewhere, I only take it as a compliment. If somehow I inspired people to use them, I can only be grateful. Besides, seeing the OWA on the WM ring was kinda neat, right? It’s all good with me!” Omega commented.

Cargill herself responded to the post, thanking Omega and following it up with goat emojis. Omega and Cargill seem to share a friendship, with Omega defending Cargill from vitriolic fans following her move from AEW to WWE, urging them to wish her well. Despite landing the One Winged Angel, Cargill couldn’t get a win over Ripley, who landed a few Rip Tides to win her second WWE Women’s Championship, adding to the two WWE Women’s World titles she has won. In spite of the loss, Cargill boastfully stated that she’s still the “bi*ch,” with or without a world title around her waist.

Roman Reigns Still Hates CM Punk But Says WWE WrestleMania 42 ‘Will Live Forever’

Roman Reigns and CM Punk put on a match for the ages in the main event of WWE WrestleMania 42, and Reigns has begrudgingly praised his opponent, despite hating Punk.

Reigns became the WWE World Heavyweight Champion after getting the better of Punk, and following his win, “The Original Tribal Chief” took to social media to give credit to Punk, stating how the two made “magic” in the ring.

“Despite All The Sh*t You’ve Put Me Through Over The Years, I Can Honestly Say Under Those Bright Lights… We Made Magic. I Still Hate You, But Last Night Will Live Forever. ☝🏽 #WrestleMania,” said Reigns.

In the lead-up to their marquee match at WrestleMania 42, the two exchanged personal barbs, which raised the stakes of the match, going far beyond just fighting for the world title. But it seems that the two now have a bit of respect for each other. Reigns spoke glowingly about the beauty of the pro wrestling business after his iconic win against Punk, explaining how the two reached WWE through different paths but were able to find a middle ground to create what he calls “magic.”

Just a day after his world title win, Reigns already has a challenger, someone he knows well, his fellow Anoa’i family member, Jacob Fatu, who challenged the new champion on the “WWE Raw” after WrestleMania. The two will have their very first singles match at the next PLE, Backlash, which will take place on May 9 in Tampa, Florida.

Damian Priest Explains Why It Can Be A ‘Struggle’ To Work Alongside R-Truth In WWE

R-Truth remains one of WWE’s most humorous characters. For that very reason, though, his tag team partner Damian Priest sometimes finds it difficult to collaborate with him on-screen.

“I think everybody knows what it’s like working with him. It’s a struggle,” Priest told “Gabby AF.” ‘He’s just one of those guys that he has this comedic timing and presence that it’s impossible to stay serious with him at all times. And we go back from the Judgment Day days. So with our interactions then, if anything, I thought we would have teamed back then just because I was always so mad in the Judgment Day. But it’s one of those things that just comes back around. I’m glad it did because in this time of the year, where it’s WrestleMania season and when you don’t have a direction, it kind of sucks. But having him around and this became a direction by accident, it’s awesome. I can’t stress how great it is to be around somebody who always makes you smile.”

As Priest alluded to, he and Truth initially headed into WrestleMania season seemingly with no creative direction. Upon their spontaneous pairing on “WWE SmackDown,” however, he and Truth struck literal gold as they unseated the MFTs as WWE Tag Team Champions. Most recently, the pair successfully defended the titles against Kofi Kingston and Grayson Waller on the final “SmackDown” before WrestleMania 42.

In the past, Truth and Priest notably stood on opposite sides as the former tried to infiltrate The Judgment Day, much to the latter’s disapproval. In between, Priest admittedly broke character at times due to Truth’s comedic actions and words. Based on Priest’s latest comments, it seems that is still the case even now as on-screen allies.

Nikki Bella Fires Back At Backlash Over Four Horsewomen Comment

Nikki Bella is addressing the fallout from her “Original Four Horsewomen” post, and she’s not backing down. After the caption sparked debate online and drew a response from Bayley, Nikki has now shared her side of the story and taken aim at the critics.

Speaking on The Nikki and Brie Show, Nikki explained that the post featuring herself, Brie Bella, Paige, and AJ Lee wasn’t meant to rewrite WWE history. Instead, she said it was a long running fan joke that she and the others decided to lean into for fun.

“You know, so we posted that. Forever on social media, people have talked about the Four Horsewomen, and they always talked about ‘my original Four Horsewomen’ AJ, Paige, Brie, and I. So we all thought it’d be funny to play into that, like totally being funny, which it would be fun to have a storyline with them down the line like us four against the other four. So we’re like, oh my God, let’s have some fun.”

After clearing that up, Nikki turned her attention to the backlash and didn’t hold back, arguing that the reaction says more about the critics than the post itself.

“But to hear the haters right now you just love to b****. Please get baptized, please do something. You all need to get your soul cleansed. Because online, like I don’t know how you need to look in the mirror. It’s the same, and I’m sorry, the majority of them are dudes. They are just those angry men that just hate life, wanna cut everyone down, especially women, because they’re pu**ies who can’t do it to men, so they love to do it to women, so it cracks me up.”

She continued in that same tone, questioning how much time some fans spend online and dismissing the idea that they represent the wider wrestling audience.

“So I’m like, go get a life, go get a job. I don’t know how you’re always on Twitter. They think they’re the only people who watch wrestling. Like, you guys are the tiniest percentage.”

Nikki also highlighted that not all of the reaction was negative. She pointed out that many fans, particularly women, understood the joke and supported the post.

“But the women fans went after them they go, ‘No, we’ve all been waiting for this moment, so bye.’ They’re going after them so hard because we knew the group online who got that, and we all had fun with it and we loved it. It was such a fun moment.”
