Stephanie Vaquer Shares Reaction To WWE Entrance Music Change

For most of her WWE career, from “NXT” to the main roster, WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer has used the song “Bury Me,” much to the delight of fans. But things changed this past February, when Vaquer was given a new theme called “La Primera.” Unlike “Bury Me,” this theme has not yet caught on with fans, with several expressing confusion over why WWE would give Vaquer a new song when the first one was so popular.

In an appearance on “Insight with Chris Van Vliet,” Vaquer addressed the song change. While she was as nice as possible to the new theme, she seemed to admit that she enjoyed “Bury Me” more. She also indicated that it may not have been possible to keep her old song, and remains optimistic the new song will catch on, despite reservations.

“I like it, I don’t love the song,” Vaquer said. “I love my old song, but you know, right things, many issues. So we needed a new song. And I like it. I just hope people can understand that and cheer the new song.”

Vaquer also discussed the evolution of her entrance overall, and was blunt about working with Triple H in order to add more “movement” into her entrance after having previously just walked to the ring. At the moment, Vaquer isn’t fully satisfied with how her entrance is coming across, though she does believe it has improved.

“I like my entrance now,” Vaquer said. “It’s a little different than before. But yeah, I feel, to be honest, I feel I’m still looking for something else. Maybe I don’t feel like that’s it. Something else is coming.”

Dominik Mysterio Says It’s ‘Surreal’ To Be Given So Much Responsibility In WWE

Dominik Mysterio is, in the eyes of many, the future of WWE, but he is also a key player in the current product, as WWE has put him in prominent positions, something that has surprised him.

Mysterio, a two-time Intercontinental Champion, has grown by leaps and bounds since his debut in 2020. Over the last year, he has wrestled several greats, including the likes of AJ Styles and John Cena, during the latter’s retirement tour. WWE entrusting him with such responsibility has come as a surprise to him.

“Yeah, that definitely surprised me. I didn’t expect it, and I didn’t know I had the company’s trust. I’m a soldier for the company when it comes to WWE,” he said to “Paper Mag.” “This is where I’ve been my whole life, since I was 8 years old. Not only that, but the people that I’ve wrestled, like Randy Orton’s first match back after back surgery. I was his first match back. And CM Punk. They trust me with guys like John Cena on his retirement tour and AJ Styles during SummerSlam, right before he took off. He retired that same year as well. Looking back at it now, it’s super cool and surreal to see that they trusted me with all these opportunities with such big names.”

Mysterio also revealed in the interview that he had no plan for life, but joining pro wrestling was inevitable due to his family’s ties with the business. He is confident that he will continue to grow in WWE, and feels that he could win the Royal Rumble and be a multiple world champion in the next five years. The former Intercontinental Champion is eager to make the Mysterio name even more popular and is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve it.

Shawn Michaels Reveals The One Reason He Gets Excited To Attend WWE WrestleMania

One would expect “Mr. WrestleMania,” Shawn Michaels, to attend WrestleMania out of his love for WWE and his association with the event, but the “NXT” creative head goes to “The Show of Shows” to watch former “NXT” stars perform.

Michaels recently spoke to Adrian Hernandez in the lead-up to WrestleMania 42, where the host mentioned the numerous stars that Michaels has worked with on “NXT” who will be on the card. The WWE Hall of Fame detailed that watching the stars whom he mentored on the development brand is the only reason why he goes to WrestleMania.

“Yeah, well, so that’s honestly the only reason — and I mean this in the most positive respect — the only reason I have a desire to go to WrestleMania’s anymore is to do just that [watch his former NXT stars]. Is to be able to watch them go out. I mean, as you mentioned, Lash, Trick, Je’Von, Oba, and also again, speaking in terms of, you know, Carmelo and Bron, you know, those are all people that are going to have those opportunities. But it’s the reason I go to WrestleMania now, is just to have the opportunity to watch them go out there and enjoy that moment,” he said. “That is the culmination of all of the work that they put in, and getting to just be a part of watching them enjoy that moment is the reason we do it. And it’s an incredibly gratifying thing to watch.”

Michaels, who took control over “NXT’s” creative control in 2021, has developed many stars who are thriving on the main roster, and will be on show at WrestleMania 42. Oba Femi, who was called up earlier this year, will go up against Brock Lesnar, while Trick Williams — another one who was moved to the main roster at the start of 2026 — will have a shot at the US Championship in his match against Sami Zayn. Stephanie Vaquer, who had a brief stint on “NXT,” will be up against Liv Morgan, while Lash Legend will be involved in a four-way tag team match, alongside her partner, Nia Jax.

WWE WrestleMania 42: Draws & Duds

The build to the WWE Women’s Championship match pitting title holder Jade Cargill against Royal Rumble victor Rhea Ripley has been terrible from the start, and it hasn’t gotten any better over time. Their first promo, on the March 6 edition of “WWE SmackDown” set the tone for the rest of the feud, and not in a good way, making it a dud from its very beginnings.

The promo was puzzling, as both women served each other with compliments about their body types, with Ripley ultimately saying her body wasn’t for show, like Cargill’s, but for practical power to win her championships. It was not a strong promo from either woman, and it left a bad taste in a lot of fans’ mouths.

The following week, after Cargill defeated Michin, she trash talked Ripley, which brought out “The Eradicator,” but when they went face-to-face, Cargill left the ring. Things only got more strange the week following, when Michin and B-Fab, who had been feuding with the champion for weeks, aligned with her to beat down Ripley and form a new faction.

Before all of this, Ripley and her former tag team partner, IYO SKY, went their separate ways, on good terms, so Ripley could focus on her WrestleMania opponent and singles competition. However, SKY was brought into the feud on the April 3 edition of the show to be backup for Ripley against Cargill’s faction. Despite how loved RHIYO is as a tag team, it was starting to seem like SKY wasn’t going to have her own match at WrestleMania, despite being locked in a feud with the Kabuki Warriors, specifically Asuka, for quite some time. It put a damper on the women’s title match, as the idea just to have SKY at ringside for Ripley at WrestleMania felt strange.

That’s not any fault of her own, however, as an ankle injury to Nikki Bella put things into question. Earlier reports indicated if the Bellas can’t go in their four-way match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, the Kabuki Warriors could be inserted, so Asuka wouldn’t be free to face SKY. As of the go-home episode of “Raw,” SKY and Asuka aren’t on the card, meaning SKY is likely to just corner Ripley on the “Grandest Stage of Them All.”

Cargill is notably not the strongest in-ring worker, and Ripley has had to change up her style recently. The match already wasn’t screaming “in-ring banger” from the start, and the fact their first promo was terrible did not help things. This match is an all-around dud, unless you’re a Ripley fan, as she’s the betting favorite to capture the title from Cargill in Las Vegas.

WWE’s Damian Priest Gives Blunt Opinion On Pat McAfee Return Storyline: ‘It Sucks’

Pat McAfee’s promos following his addition to the Randy Orton-Cody Rhodes storyline have angered many fans, and it seems that even some WWE stars are unhappy with the situation, one of them being Damian Priest.

Priest, in an appearance on the “Gabby AF” podcast, bluntly said that he hates the controversial promos that McAfee has cut, where the former NFL star criticized the product and the low ticket sales for WrestleMania 42

“It sucks,” he said. “I’m not a fan. [I’m] Somebody who knows Pat, get along with him, but the [storyline] — I don’t know. For me, that’s not my taste. I don’t think it helps anything. He didn’t need it. I know I’m sure a lot of people are not going to be happy that I said that, but in the locker room, specifically, like a lot of us weren’t happy and that’s real. I was asked by some of the younger talent like what did I think and I thought it was bull.”

Priest also criticized WWE’s decision to allow McAfee to curse on television, when others in the promotion aren’t allowed to do so. He feels that a full-time WWE star could benefit more from using expletives on WWE television than a part-time player like McAfee.

“We’re a PG show, right? But he could come in and he could throw F bombs and say whatever he wants. For me, that’s like one of those things that so many other talent, even from one word, could benefit from, and it’s like, ‘Wow, now they’re up here.’ Instead, you take somebody who’s not even here all the time and gets away with saying something like that, who doesn’t even need it. Not going to lie, it kind of pi**ed me off.”

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion admitted that no one backstage in WWE was pleased with what McAfee said, with the wrestlers having various reasons to be unhappy with it. He noted how CM Punk expressed his frustration a certain way, while the unanimous opinion backstage was for McAfee not to have the mic on him.
