Tiffany Stratton Addresses WrestleMania 42 Rumors

Tiffany Stratton Addresses WrestleMania 42 Rumors – Tiffany Stratton has responded to speculation about her potential involvement at WrestleMania 42, making it clear that she has not been officially informed of any match at this time.

Speaking with The Schmo, Stratton was asked about reports suggesting she could be in line to challenge for the WWE Women’s United States Championship at WrestleMania. While acknowledging the rumors, she emphasized that nothing has been confirmed internally.

“Yeah, I mean, I’ve heard those rumors too, and I feel like they’re just rumors because I haven’t really been told anything that I’m on WrestleMania,” Stratton said. “But we’ll have to wait and see. I hope there’s a championship involved.”

Despite the uncertainty, Stratton has been featured prominently on WWE SmackDown in recent weeks, where she has become involved in an ongoing storyline with Giulia and Kiana James. That on-screen direction has fueled speculation that WWE could be building toward a Women’s United States Championship match at WrestleMania 42.

Stratton is no stranger to championship success. She previously held the WWE Women’s Championship before dropping the title to Jade Cargill. Following that loss, she stepped away for a period after Saturday Night’s Main Event before making her return at the Royal Rumble.

As things stand, WWE has yet to officially announce a WrestleMania 42 match involving Stratton. With the event set for April 18 and 19 at the Allegiant Stadium, there is still time for the card to take shape.

For now, Stratton remains in a holding pattern, with her WrestleMania status uncertain as speculation continues around her potential role on one of WWE’s biggest shows of the year.

Former WWE NXT Champion Ricky Saints Addresses WWE/NFL Rivalry

He poured the kerosene, lit the match, and created a firestorm. For several months, NFL legend Tom Brady has taunted the pro wrestling industry by calling the face of it, WWE, a “cute and scripted” promotion. Since that comment, the now Las Vegas Raiders owner is enjoying the rented space he’s taken up in most of WWE’s stars’ minds. Awaiting for his next revolution to be televised, with a potential shot at reclaiming the NXT Championship for a second time, Ricky Saints is too busy to worry what some retiree from a completely different sport has to say about his sport. But, he did throw out an interesting challenge should this NFL and WWE rivalry come head-to-head at WrestleMania 42.

“I find it to be kind of funny, where you have a bunch of egos, right, and they clash with another bunch of egos. And then, you get money involved, and you get the bravado included. Me personally, I couldn’t tell you who’s in the NFL if I wanted to. That’s playing actively,” Saints said on “Going Ringside.” “Why? Because I’m so locked in to my job, and my future, and my career. That’s why. Now, I will say this: if Drew Brees wants to get in the ring and go one-on-one with ‘ol Ricky Saints, I’m willing to take that. I’m willing to bring that on.”

To see a former New Orleans Saint go up against a born and raised Saint would be a thrilling exhibition. But will Brees accept this challenge? Only time will tell. What is known at this time is that there are active negotiations still between WWE and Brady for the former quarterback to appear on “The Grandest Stage of Them All,” especially with rising tensions between himself and former WWE Men’s United States Champion, Logan Paul. But many others would love the opportunity to give Brady the receipt he deserves, including Seth Rollins, Charlotte Flair, and The Bella Twins.

AEW Star Josh Alexander Reportedly Injured During Collision Taping

“The Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander is injured, as confirmed by Fightful Select.

This past Wednesday, as part of the “AEW Collision: Slam Dunk” tapings in Fresno, California, the former two-time TNA World Champion was helped to the back following a knee injury after the AEW World Trios Championship title challenge match that aired on Sunday. The full extent or severity of the injury is not yet known.

Last week, Dave Meltzer, of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Alexander’s knee has been bothering him for some time now, six years to be exact. The current Don Callis Family member knew that eventually he’d have to address the matter. Meltzer wrote in last Friday’s newsletter: “At press time, the knee had not been checked out completely so we don’t yet know the extent of the damage. The knee has been bothering him for six years and he kind of knew that at some point he’d have to take care of it, and it appears now is that point.”

Since it’s unknown if and how long he’ll will be out of commission, Alexander was scheduled for the Ring of Honor and Maple Leaf Pro’s Global War shows in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, this Friday and Saturday. Alexander is the current and inaugural MLP Canadian Champion at 317 days, as of this report. His most recent defense of the MLP Championship was on February 20 against Esfinge at Arena Mexico.

Alexander, El Clon, and Konosuke Takeshita were unsuccessful in their AEW World Trios Title challenge against JetSpeed (“Speedball” Mike Bailey & Kevin Knight) and Mistico. Alexander left his long tenured residency at Impact/TNA for AEW in April of last year.

Indie Booker & Producer Heading Effort To Purchase Wrestling & MMA Streamer TrillerTV

For nearly a year now, the fate of wrestling/MMA streaming service TrillerTV, previously known as FITE TV, has very much been up in the air due to financial issues. Those issues only seemed to get worse for Triller at the end of 2025, when word emerged that the streamer’s financial troubles had led to it being suspended from stock exchanges, a signal that the end could be near.

There may still be hope for Triller, however, in the form of a well known independent wrestling figure. PWInsider reports that the company Orange Crush, run by former Jersey Championship Wrestling booker Adam Abdalla, is attempting to assemble enough private funds in order to purchase FITE TV away from Triller. It’s unclear how far along Orange Crush is with their bid, though Abdalla is said to have several ideas in mind, including incorporating music video onto the platform to “augment” wrestling and MMA content, and keeping on the FITE team that has been with the streamer since before the Triller purchase.

Purchasing TrillerTV isn’t the only wrestling related move made recently by Abdalla, who has run Orange Crush, an independent wrestling/art publication, for many years. Upon departing Jersey Championship Wrestling, Abdalla decided to fund his own promotion, Produce, which will run its first show on June 29 out of Brooklyn, New York. The show, which is being co-produced by Jonathan Gresham, will feature talents such as Mance Warner, Steph De Lander, Effy, Joey Janela, Mad Dog Connelly, and current ROH Pure Women’s Champion Deonna Purrazzo.

It was noted that Abdalla has plenty of connections outside of wrestling, including serving as the head of New York based strategic consultant company Cultural Council, and co-producing the boxing documentary “On the Line.” Abdalla also curated the art exhibit Sunset Flip, featuring art work from ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty and AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla.

First Look At WWE’s Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson As Maui In Live-Action Moana

I’m not going to pretend that I am the world’s biggest “Moana” fan, or that I’ve been paying extra-close attention to the production woes of the live-action remake of the 2016 gem, but that is why it is all the more glaring that even I was aware of how much trouble Disney and the filmmakers had turning Dwayne Johnson into Maui. The film was delayed a whole year, as the initial plan of using an AI-deepfake of Johnson’s face on a body double was scrapped. While I do applaud the ethics of not going with some kind of hideous AI monstrosity, I do have to chuckle about all the time, work, and money that went into deciding “What if Maui just looked like The Rock in a wig?”

It really is the funniest decision they could’ve made.

There is something incredibly, hilariously off-putting about The Rock’s gaunt, skinny face and the weird rubber muscle suit he’s wearing. It would be adorable if it didn’t likely cost the GDP of a small country.

Again, I do not exactly hold the original film sacred, but it’s an adorable film, full of sweet, earworm songs, and -most importantly- a lot of color. I think I could look past The Rock’s ridiculous wig if there was literally anything else to look at in the trailer, but the bright, sunlight hues of the original film have been coated in a dull grey filter, such is the case with many live-action remakes. If you didn’t know, “live-action” has to mean “shot through grey mop water” because Hollywood executives all have clinical depression or something, and don’t believe that colors exist in real life, despite the existence of flowers.

Anyway, I am very underwhelmed by it all. A long delay, a lot of money spent, and the whole thing looks like a Super Bowl ad for Old Spice. I’m not saying I want to see whatever digital ghost they’d be able to make by AI-ing Johnson’s face onto a giant man, but there has to be a happy medium somewhere.
