Ronda Rousey: UFC’s Hunter Campbell ‘P****ed Off The Wrong B****’

Ronda Rousey has taken aim at UFC’s Chief Business Officer, Hunter Campbell, while reacting to the latest addition to the Carano-Rousey MVP card in May.

The event on May 16 will be headlined by Gina Carano and Rousey’s respective returns to MMA, as well as Francis Ngannou against Philipe Lins in the co-main event. And then on Monday it was announced that Nate Diaz and Mike Perry had joined the UFC alums on the card for their own first-time fight.

Welcoming them to the fold for MVP – Jake Paul’s promotion – and its first MMA event, Rousey called it a revolution against the establishment. That goes in line with what she had said at the press conference for the event, believing that UFC had gone downhill and was no longer the premier place of work in the sport.

“Welcome to the revolution Nate Diaz and Mike Perry!! It’s the fighters vs. the establishment – and we’re gonna win!” Rousey wrote on X. “P.S. Hunter Campbell p****ed off the wrong b****, I’m coming for your job motherf****er.”

It’s unknown what Rousey’s exact issue with Campbell is, but since he serves as UFC’s primary matchmaker and Dana White’s number two, one could assume it ties in with the break-down in negotiations for Rousey to return to the company.

Rousey had said she was in talks with UFC about staging the fight with Carano with the promotion, but they could not meet financial terms under the new streaming model with Paramount+.

UFC’s Daniel Cormier Nearly Quit ‘Russian Ultimate Fighter’ With Jon Jones Over Knife Brawl

Daniel Cormier was on the verge of quitting a Russian reality TV show, ALF MMA, with Jon Jones after things took a dangerous turn.

Earlier this year, Cormier and Jones served as coaches on ALF MMA, a Russian reality show much in the same vein as UFC’s “The Ultimate Fighter” series, with the likes of Khamzat Chimaev and Nate Diaz serving as coaches in the past.

The third episode of this season released on Tuesday, and things went pear-shaped when two fighters with pre-existing issues came face-to-face and started brawling. That fight set off more fighting, and one named Sergei, trying to break up one of them, got caught in the cross-fire and resorted to grabbing a kitchen knife.

“We’ve seen a few fights since we’ve been here, and this was by far the biggest fight,” Cormier said. “Sergei’s so mad, because now he has a cut under his chin, that he runs into the kitchen, and he wants to grab a knife. Because all he’s thinking about now is protecting himself. It was very intense.”

“I think we’re gonna go home,” Cormier spoke with some of his team after the fight. “I might give them their money back and stay home. I can’t do this s***. It’s too much. Somebody’s going to get hurt bad… I didn’t know it was like this. It’s really bad… I don’t know if I can do this. Tell them this is too much. I might not be able to do this.”

In a bit of a surprise twist, Jones played peacemaker and addressed the participants, letting them know Cormier’s stance and telling them to straighten up.

“At the end of the day, Daniel Cormier is a big star in America,” Jones said of his long-time rival. “This competition, we’re all on the same team. I know you guys have real conflicts, but ultimately, our goal is to make good TV… Nothing on this show is worth losing your life, whether that’s in the ground or in jail.”

Jones’ words managed to turn things around, and neither man left the show.

Injured AEW Star Leila Grey Announces She’s Undergone Knee Surgery

Injured AEW star Leila Grey confirmed via her Instagram stories on Wednesday that she has successfully undergone surgery for a torn ACL. Grey penned a note to her fans in her stories after undergoing the operation following the injury she sustained at the beginning of December.

“Hey guys. I finally had my knee surgery yesterday,” she wrote. “Everything went well. I’m home recovering and starting therapy tomorrow. Thank you all for the support during this time.”

Grey suffered the injury during her match with Mercedes Mone for the TBS Championship on the December 6 edition of “AEW Collision.” The match ended abruptly with Mone getting the pin after it became apparent Grey had been injured. She revealed the exact point in the match the injury occurred, saying it happened when she took a wrong step while being driven into the corner by Mone. Grey revealed she felt a pop in her knee and minutes later, felt another pop after hitting the champion with a knee.

She revealed in January that she didn’t have full range of motion in her knee at the time, which she said delayed surgery for at least another month. Despite the injury, Grey competed in the World Beauty Fitness & Fashion competition the week following her loss to the then-TBS Champion, where she scored first place in the Diva Fitness Model 35+ category. The AEW talent wore a bedazzled knee brace for the competition, which she said people expected her to drop out of following the injury, but she was a “boss a** baddie” who “got the job done.”
