Two New Matches Added To WWE WrestleMania 42 Card

We’re less than three weeks away from the biggest show of the year and the card is still coming together with two new matches added.

It was announced via a video package that Finn Balor vs. Dominik Mysterio is now official for WrestleMania. Mysterio and the Judgment Day turned on Balor and kicked him out a few weeks ago. Balor returned and cost Mysterio in his rematch for the IC title.

After defeating Kofi Kingston on “Raw” to retain the title, Penta announced he will defend the Men’s Intercontinental Championship at “The Show of the Immortals”. It will be contested in a ladder match, which he called “his kingdom”. Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan reported that there would be a series of qualifying matches to determine who will be in the ‘Mania match, but Michael Cole later announced that the qualifying matches had already occurred on “WWE Main Event,” announcing the competitors as Penta, Dragon Lee, Rusev, Je’Von Evans, and JD McDonagh.

WrestleMania 42 will emanate from Las Vega, Nevada over two nights on April 18 and 19. Earlier on Monday, John Cena announced that he’ll be making his WWE return to host the event.

Roxanne Perez Returns To WWE Raw, Assists Liv Morgan In Fight With Stephanie Vaquer

Roxanne Perez made her return during “WWE Raw” to aid Liv Morgan in attacking Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.

Perez has been out of action for the past two months after revealing she had surgery to remove a benign mass on her back, returning after Morgan had came out and laid into her upcoming WrestleMania opponent.

Morgan had said something derogatory about Vaquer’s mother in Spanish during her solo promo segment, prompting the Women’s World Champion to come out and initiate a fight in the ring. Vaquer got the better of Morgan and went to grab a steel chair, then being attacked by the returning Perez and turning the segment into a two-on-one mugging.

When all was said and done, Morgan stood with Perez with the Women’s World title belt held aloft to close the segment.

Morgan will be challenging for Vaquer’s title at WrestleMania 42 after winning the Women’s Royal Rumble for the first time in January. She will be attempting to capture her third WWE Women’s title against Vaquer, who has been champion in her first reign since September.

Another WWE Women’s Tag Title Match Ends In Chaos On Raw As Multiple Teams Interfere

The Irresistible Forces, Lash Legend and Nia Jax, are still WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions after yet another women’s tag match ended due to interference, this time on the red brand. Legend and Jax retained over Bayley and Lyra Valkyria on “WWE Raw.”

Legend and Bayley started off the match and Legend overpowered the challenger. Bayley and Valkyria both fought to take the champions off their feet, and succeeded after Bayley hit a suicide dive to Jax, sending her into the commentary table, and they dumped Legend over the ropes on the other side of the ring. Jax was back in control of the match after a break, however.

She hit Valkyria with a Samoan Drop, but Valkyria countered a vertical suplex from Legend with a DDT. Bayley hit an elbow across the back of Legend’s neck, but was taken out by Jax. Jax looked for the Annihilator, but Bayley got to her feet and hit Jax with a powerbomb. Valkyria hit a moonsault to Jax, but Legend broke up the pin.

As a flurry of offense from both teams left all the women laid out in the ring, the Bella Twins strode down the ramp, followed by Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. They started arguing on the outside and Valkyria got out of the ring to tell them to knock it off, and Jax sent her flying into Flair and Bliss before she and Legend beat down the Bellas.

Flair and Bliss jumped in the ring to attack the Irresistible Forces, causing the disqualification, and all the teams proceeded to beat up the champions before arguing with one another in the ring.

Cody Rhodes Reacts To Sold-Out WrestleMania 42 Bus Tour Price

Cody Rhodes Reacts To Sold-Out WrestleMania 42 Bus Tour Price

Cody Rhodes has addressed the buzz surrounding his sold-out WrestleMania 42 bus tour, openly admitting the high price point while thanking fans who secured a spot.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Rhodes discussed the $9,950 per person experience offered through WWE’s partnership with On Location. The package drew heavy attention online before selling out its limited availability.

“We did this tour last year very quietly,” Rhodes said. “And it’s just a sweet On Location deal for the people that want a little bit of that extra moment. What I did last year was very fun. They got to see my WrestleMania gear in advance and we got to talk WrestleMania.”

Rhodes acknowledged the cost has been a major talking point and didn’t shy away from addressing it directly.

“I’ve got a good plan for them this year, because like you said, that’s an absurd amount of money,” Rhodes said. “Gosh, thanks for the fact that people are out there paying that. That makes me feel incredible. So I want them to definitely feel like they got a unique and cool experience and something intimate for us.”

He emphasized that the goal is to create meaningful, personal interactions with fans who choose to invest in the experience.

“Because when you get those moments with your fans where you can sit down across from them and actually get to know them, two of the guys that were on the bus tour last year are actually coming on my podcast. I wanted to bring a fan onto the podcast to see what that experience was like. We’ve stayed in touch. So I look forward to a whole new motley crew on the bus this year. And thank you for doing that.”

WWE has partnered with On Location since 2022 to offer premium experiences tied to major events, giving fans access to exclusive perks and interactions.

A similar high-end package is also being offered for the upcoming Clash in Italy premium live event in May. That experience includes activities such as a private pasta-making session with a WWE star, a wine tasting featuring talent, and front-row seating, with a listed price of $11,500 per person.

Rhodes’ comments highlight both the demand for these premium experiences and his intent to ensure fans feel they receive value despite the steep cost.

Kevin Owens Sparks Speculation With Cryptic Post Amid Randy Orton Mystery

Kevin Owens Sparks Speculation With Cryptic Post Amid Randy Orton Mystery

Kevin Owens has ignited speculation among WWE fans following a cryptic social media post that may tie into the ongoing mystery surrounding Randy Orton on WWE SmackDown.

Owens recently shared a video on X showing himself playing with a Cody Rhodes action figure while Rhodes’ entrance theme played in the background. The timing of the post, with the Rhodes vs. Orton feud heating up ahead of WrestleMania 42, quickly led fans to connect the dots.

One of the biggest theories coming out of the post is that Owens could be the unidentified caller who has been giving Orton instructions on recent episodes of SmackDown. The voice behind the calls has not been revealed, leaving room for speculation as the storyline develops.

The idea of Owens being involved is not without context. Prior to being sidelined, he was heavily involved in storylines with both Rhodes and Orton, making him a logical fit within the current narrative. His history with both men has only added fuel to the speculation.

Despite being away from full-time television, Owens has not completely disappeared from WWE programming, appearing occasionally on digital content. However, he has not returned to regular in-ring action and has not provided a timeline for when that might happen. Owens underwent neck surgery less than a year ago and is still not expected back imminently.

While it is possible the post was simply lighthearted, it has clearly generated discussion among fans who are trying to piece together the mystery angle.

WWE has not confirmed any connection between Owens and the storyline, nor has there been any official update on his return. As it stands, Rhodes is set to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Orton in the Night 1 main event of WrestleMania 42 on April 18 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
