AEW & ROH Wrestler Set To Hit Free Agency At Midnight As Contract Expires

AEW has a stacked women’s roster, as does ROH. Many of the talent travel between the two companies, which is a huge benefit for both the wrestlers and the fans. Unfortunately, AEW and ROH will be down one very talented and underutilized woman at midnight.

Fightful Select recently reported that Lady Frost’s contract comes up on April 1. It was reiterated to them again today that when her deal expires at midnight, she will be a free agent. The report states that there are already companies interested in her. Frost has wrestled for CMLL, TNA, and NWA. She also has one match in WWE.

Following the initial report of her contract coming up, Frost posted a video introducing the vision for her character and how she wants to be portrayed.

During her time in AEW/ROH, she had a ROH Women’s World Title Eliminator match against Athena and also had an AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator match against “Timeless” Toni Storm. She last competed on “Collision” in January in a losing effort to Mina Shirakawa. Her last ROH match came on Zero Hour at Supercard of Honor against Diamanté. Last spring, she competed multiple times in CMLL alongside Taya Valkyrie where they competed in a tag team tournament. They also picked up wins over Persephone and Sanley as well as India Sioux and Zeuxis. She is active on the independent scene.

Former UFC Fighter Diego Sanchez Sentenced For Felony Shooting

Former UFC fighter Diego Sanchez was sentenced to five years of supervised probation after firing a gun into the air while in traffic.

Albuqerque news outlet “KOB4” reported that Sanchez had pleaded guilty in February to a felony charge after his July 2025 arrest near I-40, where prosecutors said he had fired the gun while passing a crash.

In court, Sanchez contested that he had never intended to hurt anyone and it was supposed to be a joke. He added that he was already going to Turning Point Recovery Center and taking new medicine for a bipolar diagnosis.

“People do make mistakes, you know. This is Albuquerque, the wild wild west, I made a bad mistake,” Sanchez is quoted in the report.

Prosecutors were said to have been pushing for two years custodial with the argument that firing a gun in traffic on a freeway was dangerous.

“The defendant has shown reckless actions when he shot the firearm out of the car window. He has demonstrated negligence as noted in the PSR and the inability to safely and lawfully operate a firearm,” state prosecutor Genia Gonzales is quoted.

Defense attorney Max Pines is said to have told the court that his client had made progress over the last several months, including treatment for mental health and substance abuse. Sanchez also said that he is staying sober and working on his mental health.

Sanchez has a 30-14 record in MMA having won the first-ever season of “The Ultimate Fighter” to earn a contract with UFC. He spent 15 years in the promotion before departing in 2020, fighting just the once since for Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Eagle FC in 2022. He is also a UFC Hall of Famer through his 2009 fight with Clay Guida, getting inducted in 2019.

JBL Comments On Passing Of Dennis Condrey, Says Midnight Express Should Be In WWE HOF

The passing of Midnight Express founding member Dennis Condrey has continued to strike a chord with the wrestling world, with many continuing to pay tribute to the former NWA/Jim Crockett Promotions star. On the latest episode of “Something to Wrestle,” WWE Hall of Famer JBL became the latest, describing Condrey as one of the greatest professionals the wrestling business has ever seen.

“He was just a consummate professional at it,” JBL said. “He knew how to put guys over, he knew how to get the team over, he knew how to get the territory over. Condrey was just the consummate professional wrestler.”

While Condrey is part of both the Wrestling Observer Newsletter and NWA Halls of Fame, a WWE Hall of Fame induction eluded both him and the Midnight Express prior to his passing. Many have noted the Midnight Express’s lack of presence in the Hall of Fame, and JBL became the latest to voice his support for the tag team’s induction, while also trying to provide an explanation for why they haven’t been put in yet.

“I think Vince, for a long time, was reticent to acknowledge other territories, and I think that came from past prejudices,” JBL said. “And I say prejudices, I don’t mean he disliked them, it’s just, it was survival. You would not acknowledge the NWA, you would not acknowledge Crockett, you would not acknowledge Fritz or Verne or Mike Graham or Eddie, because they’re your competition.

“And I think that was so embedded in Vince that the Hall of Fame kind of carried that over. I think now that it’s kind of a little bit further removed from the territory days and that bias of ‘Those guys are our competition,’ that I think stuff like that can happen. I certainly think those guys are worthy to be in there, and I’d love to see them in.”

Roman Reigns Is ‘Looking To Go Out There And Just Crush’ CM Punk At WWE WrestleMania

Roman Reigns and CM Punk are set to go head-to-head very soon at WWE WrestleMania 42 after “The Tribal Chief” emerged victorious from the Royal Rumble. Many fans already have their predictions for who will walk away with the title, but Reigns is pretty confident in his own ability.

During an outdoors interview with TMZ, Reigns pointed out that this WrestleMania will be his 11th match at the massive annual event, and his matches seem to only become bigger. “Punk is – he’s not the athlete that I am. He’s a hell of a competitor, he’s a veteran, he’s savvy,” Reigns said about his opponent. “But I’m looking to go out there and just crush him, smash him, man.”

Reigns further admitted that he has the tendency to be overcome by his emotions, and if he doesn’t compose himself, there’s a legitimate chance that Punk could beat him. “He’s good at making people make mistakes, and if I somehow slip up, or – you know – take a left when I should have made that right? He could capitalize so it’s a very serious matter,” the former champion explained.

Interestingly, neither Reigns nor Punk has taken a definite role as a heel nor babyface – a sentiment that WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash shares. According to the veteran, there’s been no reason to hate Reigns if he was supposed to be the heel in this storyline, since he’s been far more relatable as a husband and family man, especially to men who largely grew up without their dads, since Reigns father – Afa Anoa’i – was always on the road.

Injury Report On TNA’s Steve Maclin After Sacrifice Main Event Was Called Off

Reigning TNA World Champion Mike Santana put the title on the line during the promotion’s recent Sacrifice pay-per-view in a heated match against former TNA World Champion and inaugural TNA International Champion, Steve Maclin. Unfortunately, the match ended in a no-contest, stunning both fans at home and in attendance.

Since then, per a report from “The Takedown on SI,” it’s been revealed that the Sacrifice main event was not originally meant to end due to stoppage. The report notes that a kick to the jaw sent Maclin toward the ropes and onto the mat, after which officials checked on him and Eddie Edwards was sent to cause a distraction.

The report claims Maclin was evaluated for a concussion and sent to the hospital, where he was tested and ultimately released with a clean slate and sent back to his hotel. At the time of writing, it’s still unclear whether TNA will revisit the championship match, but at this stage, Edwards has already been announced as Santana’s next opponent at TNA Rebellion.

Maclin is in an interesting space when it comes to TNA, considering reports that he’s only signed to a short deal with the promotion. While his next move is unknown, Maclin seems to be in good spirits following the incident, taking to X to post the following defiant message: “Thanks everyone for the calls, texts, and tweets. You can’t F**king kill me. I’M BULLETPROOF.”
