Bianca Belair has taken a positive step forward in her recovery, with a new update indicating she has resumed light training as she works toward an eventual in-ring return. While there is still no confirmed timetable, the early signs suggest progress is being made.

Belair has been sidelined since WrestleMania 41, where she sustained injuries to her finger and knuckle during a high profile clash with IYO Sky and Rhea Ripley. What was initially hoped to be a manageable issue instead required surgery after failing to heal properly, keeping her out of action for an extended period.

During her recovery, Belair made a brief on-screen appearance as a special guest referee at Evolution 2025 in the match between Jade Cargill and Naomi. However, that moment marked her only involvement on WWE programming while she focused on rehabilitation.

Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu’s heated rivalry appears to be escalating toward one of WWE’s most brutal stipulations at WrestleMania 42. According to a new report, the current plan is for the two to collide inside Hell in a Cell.

The update follows the explosive March 20 episode of SmackDown, where their brawl spiralled well beyond the ring. McIntyre smashed Fatu’s car windshield before dragging him out, with the chaos continuing outside the arena and culminating in both men crashing off a guardrail. The aftermath of that wild encounter is expected to be addressed by WWE General Manager Nick Aldis on the upcoming episode of SmackDown.

Sources have indicated that the bout between McIntyre and Fatu is pencilled in for WrestleMania 42, with Hell in a Cell currently the leading stipulation being discussed.

WWE has yet to officially confirm the match type. However, it has already been reported that a one on one match between the two had long been the planned direction, with circumstances such as Bronson Reed’s injury helping solidify the timing for WrestleMania. Their recent SmackDown clash was also said to be structured to build momentum toward a bigger showdown, rather than act as a decisive finish to the feud.

WrestleMania 42 is set to take place across April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Night 1 will feature Cody Rhodes defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton, while Night 2 is set to see CM Punk defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns.

The ace of STARDOM taking on the ace/creator of Sendai Girls, this will be alright won’t it?

By the mid-2010s, Io Shirai had earned herself a reputation for legitimately one of the best wrestlers in the world, and was leading the new wave of Joshi wrestling. The 2000s was a dark period for Joshi as both All Japan Women’s Pro Wrestling and GAEA ceased operations, legends of the previous era started retiring left, right, and center, and wrestling as a whole took a downturn in interest during this time. With companies like STARDOM, Joshi wrestling rose to prominence once again and Shirai was at the forefront of that, but in 2015, the World of STARDOM Championship was around the waist of a true Joshi icon, the original final boss before The Rock came along, Meiko Satomura.

Satomura took the title from Shirai’s close friend Kairi Hojo, and later defended it against another close friend of Shirai’s in Mayu Iwatani. Shirai wanted to bring the title back to STARDOM as Satomura was mainly working in Sendai Girls, a promotion Satomura herself founded and reigned over as world champion. The feud between Satomura and Shirai needed a line drawing under it and the date was set, December 23, 2015, at the legendary Korakuen Hall in Tokyo at STARDOM’s final event of the year, Shirai vs. Satomura.

To say that this match is a classic would be an understatement. It isn’t the easiest to find as STARDOM didn’t have a proper streaming service at the time, but when you do eventually find it, it’s like you’ve won the lottery. Shirai refuses Satomura’s handshake at the start, setting the tone for the entire match, which plays out in an almost teacher vs. student sort of battle. Satomura is ferocious with her strikes, particularly her kicks, and Shirai sells them as if she’s been shot out of a cannon. But Shirai doesn’t stop throughout this whole thing, even when her aerial offense comes back to haunt her, result in some nasty spills.

These two compliment each other perfectly, with Shirai being the “Genius of the Sky” that we know her to be today, flying all over the building at times to keep herself one step ahead of the veteran. However, Satomura beats the life out of Shirai at times, and even ties her up in submissions to the point where you think Shirai might end up passing out. In the end, Shirai’s constant onslaught of moves leads to her channeling her friends in Hojo and Iwatani, before landing her trademark Moonsault for the win. She earns the respect of Satomura, solidifies herself as the queen of STARDOM, and stands tall at the end of one of the best matches of the 21st century.

Backstage Update On WWE’s Chelsea Green After Suffering Ankle Injury In February

WWE’s Chelsea Green is recovering well from her ankle injury and could be closing in on a return to the ring. 

Green broke her ankle during her match with Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend on “WWE SmackDown,” but nearly two months after suffering the injury, she could be back in the ring soon, as per “WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select.” The report has indicated that some backstage believe that she could be cleared for action “sooner rather than later,” although there’s no indication if she will make it back on WWE television before WrestleMania, which is under four weeks away. The “WrestleVotes Radio” report also added that Green was insistent on continuing to appear on-screen despite her injury, which is why she has featured not only on “SmackDown” but also in AAA.

Initial reports had said that the injury was just a strain, but Green herself later confirmed that she had broken her ankle, with her revealing that her inner ankle’s bone had chipped and cracked. In another interview, the former WWE United States Champion was optimistic about making it back to the ring by WrestleMania 42, which will be held on April 18 and 19. 

Since her injury, Green has appeared on WWE television, featuring ringside for her The Green Regime Alba Fyre’s match. There was also some disappointment for Green as she is no longer the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champions, as Ethan Page and Green’s substitute, La Hiedra, lost the titles to Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice.
