On “Dynamite”, Kenny Omega defeated Swerve Strickland to become the Number 1 contender for the AEW Men’s World Championship. During MJF’s promo segment, Omega joined him in the ring to challenge him for next month at Dynasty and the match was made official.

Some people were not fans of the segment, including TNA’s Nic Nemeth. On Busted Open, he was critical of it because of MJF’s promo. He believes in order for MJF to go from a “good wrestler with a great promo” to a ring general and a locker room leader, it’s on MJF to make him care about this match. He said it’s on Omega to carry the match. He went on to say that MJF can’t rely on low hanging fruit “because long-term, that’s not a legacy. That’s someone that got by with a couple of lines.”

Nemeth believes Omega is at the end of his prime and that he needs to be “The Best Bout Machine” and “most importantly, we need Max to be better than a C+ version of The Miz.” He implored MJF to “not half a** it” and to “make it memorable.” He agrees that MJF has been a great champion so far, but feels like he phoned it in last night.

MJF took to social media to respond to Nemeth’s comments. He said Nemeth was trashing him under the guise of giving him advice and is “s******* on me out of jealousy.” He went on to say “he’s the most complete professional wrestler in the world, you couldn’t lace my boots or carry my mic. Say my name again on your little show and I’ll beat the f****** s*** out of you. You know where to find me.”

He is scheduled to face Omega at Dynasty on Sunday, April 12. 

Among the most controversial elements of last year’s WrestleMania weekend was “The Roast of WrestleMania,” hosted by polarizing comedian Tony Hinchcliffe. While the roast didn’t air on any platforms, leaked audio of the event later raised eyebrows regarding jokes made by Paul Heyman and Nia Jax, the latter who focused her set on co-worker Charlotte Flair. But despite all the uproar over the event, it seems WWE didn’t mind the roast, as they’ve not only continued to work with Hinchcliffe since, but are giving him another WrestleMania weekend to perform his comedy. 

In a press release, WWE and Hinchcliffe announced that Hinchcliffe would be hosting a special episode of his podcast, “KILL TONY,” called “KILL TONY: WrestleMania.” The event will be filmed on Saturday April 18 at Dolby Live at Park MGM, though WWE didn’t specify whether the event would occur before or after Night One of WrestleMania 42 that same day. It will then air two days later on Monday, April 20, with WWE promoting it as a “double event” alongside that night’s episode of “WWE Raw.”

As for who will be joining Hinchcliffe for this special, WWE is currently playing it coy, announcing no names. However, the promotion seems to be planning on a loaded lineup, with current “WWE Superstars, WWE Legends, established comedians, and surprise celebrity guests” all being teased for the special. Unlike last year’s roast, “KILL TONY: WrestleMania” will follow the format of a typical “KILL TONY” podcast, which will see the guests attempt their own comedy sets, followed by Hinchcliffe and his panel giving their feedback in Hinchcliffe’s comedic style.

It’s been a couple of months since the last edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event back in January. That show saw the highly anticipated final match between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura. Earlier this month, WWE announced the next SNME would take place on May 23 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Their calendar just expanded with today’s announcement of another SNME event. This time, it’ll be in the famed Madison Square Garden. WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reports that the show will be on July 18. This is only the second time that SNME will emanate from the iconic venue, with the last being in August 2007. They also note that it will be the first live edition.

This SNME event is scheduled for the same weekend as Fanatics Fest. WWE will be heavily involved with Superstars like John Cena, Rhea Ripley, Cody Rhodes, IYO SKY, and Stephanie Vaquer already announced.The festival runs from July 17 through July 19 at the Javits Center in New York City.

SNME will take place just before a few weeks before a two-night SummerSlam on August 1 and 2 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 

“The Ring General” turned “Career Killer” GUNTHER hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since beating down and unmasking Dragon Lee on the March 2 edition of “WWE Raw.” The former World Heavyweight Champion is currently not involved in a program ahead of WrestleMania 42, with reports indicating that a previously planned match pit him against Rey Mysterio before the Hall of Famer suffered an injury. According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, however, there is still hope for GUNTHER at ‘Mania.

Wrestlevotes reported that WWE sources claimed that GUNTHER is still expected for a “substantial” role at WrestleMania despite his absence from “Raw” over the last few weeks. One source noted that GUNTHER missing ‘Mania wouldn’t benefit anyone involved. WrestleVotes also noted that GUNTHER was expected by many to face Mysterio, who is out battling an injury he sustained even before competing in the Royal Rumble.

As of this writing, GUNTHER is not publicly advertised to be at “Raw” on Monday, live from Madison Square Garden in New York City, though it’s always possible for the “Ring General” to make a surprise appearance. WWE is advertising the likes of Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer, Jey Uso, Becky Lynch, and Rhea Ripley for the show.

GUNTHER had been feuding with Lee after he retired Lee’s former tag team partner, AJ Styles, at the Royal Rumble. Many fans thought another career-threatening match could be on deck for GUNTHER on “The Grandest Stage of Them All” as in addition to Styles, he has also retired John Cena and Goldberg.
