Rebel Joins I AM ALS as Ambassador Following Diagnosis

Tanea Brooks, known to wrestling fans as Rebel, has announced that she is joining the I AM ALS movement as an ambassador after being diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

Brooks shared that her decision to join the organization comes from a desire to help drive meaningful change and support efforts aimed at finding a cure.

“With I AM ALS, we are going to pass a law called ACT for ALS, and get closer for a cure, but we need your help.”

She continued by emphasizing her commitment to the cause despite the severity of the diagnosis.

“ALS may be a terminal diagnosis, but I’m showing up to fight as an Ambassador for I AM ALS. This patient-led movement is stepping into the ring every day to drive real progress and passing laws like the ACT for ALS for research and treatments. I’m proud to join I AM ALS and I’m asking you to step into the ring with us. Please take action.”

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, gradually impacting muscle control. Brooks’ announcement brings further attention to the ongoing need for research, treatment advancements, and patient support.

Her involvement with I AM ALS highlights the organization’s continued push for legislative action, including the ACT for ALS, which aims to accelerate access to treatments and expand research efforts.

Brooks has been a familiar face to wrestling audiences through her work in AEW, and her decision to step into an advocacy role marks a significant personal and public moment.

We extend our best wishes to Brooks as she continues her fight and works to raise awareness for ALS.
