Rey Fenix To Miss AEW All In

Rey Fenix To Miss AEW All In

Rey Fenix To Miss AEW All In – Rey Fenix’s presence at Sunday’s AEW All In pay-per-view in London has been cast into uncertainty.

As highlighted earlier, a media call held by AEW President Tony Khan unveiled that the All In card would undergo some changes due to unforeseen real-world circumstances not connected to the realm of professional wrestling.

In an update, a recent report from F4Wonline.com discloses that Fenix’s participation in All In is increasingly doubtful due to his ongoing efforts to establish residency within the United States. Consequently, he has refrained from leaving the country as of late.

While the precise moment AEW became aware of Fenix’s impending absence from All In remains undisclosed, Fightful has also conveyed that, as of the present time, he has been excluded from the show’s plans. It is evident that AEW initially counted on Fenix’s involvement in All In when they devised the Stadium Stampede match.

The original plan was for Fenix to unite forces with Penta El Zero Miedo, AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy, NJPW Strong Openweight Champion Eddie Kingston, and The Best Friends (Chuck Taylor, Trent Beretta) to confront The Blackpool Combat Club (ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta), alongside three enigmatic partners.

While Fenix is still slated to wrestle against Jon Moxley on tomorrow’s Fyter Fest edition of AEW Dynamite— which concurrently serves as the final episode of Dynamite before All In— it is probable that Dynamite will encompass a narrative element to remove Fenix from the All In lineup. This speculation is grounded in the understanding that Fenix is currently not anticipated to be part of All In’s proceedings, as indicated by multiple sources. Consequently, AEW may potentially alter the Stadium Stampede to feature a 5 vs. 5 contest, thereby requiring The Blackpool Combat Club to enlist only two undisclosed partners.

Notably, Fenix recently declined participation in AAA’s Triplemania XXXI event in Mexico City on August 12. His decision stemmed from the same underlying reason— his endeavor to establish U.S. residency— which led to his absence from All In. Consequently, AAA opted to strip him of both the AAA Latin American Title and the AAA World Cruiserweight Title in mid-July as he parted ways with the organization due to his commitments with various other promotions. While AEW’s QT Marshall acquired the AAA Latin American Title at Triplemania XXXI, the AAA World Cruiserweight Title has remained vacant since mid-July.
