Their match culminated in a victory for Williams, solidifying his ascent. Subsequently, Williams clinched the NXT Championship by defeating Ilja Dragunov at NXT Spring Breakin’ Week One.

During an appearance on WWE’s The Bump, Williams shared his thoughts on headlining NXT Stand & Deliver alongside Hayes and the significance of their achievement.

“Man, we made history. We broke records all in the same night, and the thing is, nobody saw this coming. Nobody knew that Trick Williams was gonna rise to the occasion, man. God just had a plan right here. As great as the moment is, to have that with the man that I used to call my brother, I hate it have to end like this, but it is what it is, man. It’s cool that, in the history books, when it goes down, they’re gonna say, ‘Hey, who had the biggest attendance ever in an NXT match?’ They’ll say Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes. Until the next PLE, when we break that one [laughs],” Williams expressed.

In the 2024 WWE Draft, Carmelo Hayes was selected by SmackDown. Subsequently, he confronted Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in the main event of the April 26 episode of WWE SmackDown.
