WWE Shareholder Trial Cancelled

Vince McMahon has one less legal worry, as it appears a settlement will soon be presented to WWE shareholders, keeping him and other executives from having to testify about the sale that formed TKO Group Holdings.

According to POST Wrestling, the upcoming trial between WWE shareholders and company executives has been canceled, as confirmed by Court Administrator for the Delaware Court of Chancery Tamara Burton. The trial had been set to start this week, to determine whether or not WWE was undervalued when sold to Endeavor and UFC, which formed TKO Group Holdings. McMahon, Nick Khan, and other WWE executives had been set to testify in the trial. According to POST’s Brandon Thurston, both sides have come to an agreement, and a settlement will be presented to the court for approval.

There is no word on what form the settlement could take, but the development prevents Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, George Barrios, Michelle Wilson, Ari Emanuel, and other Endeavor executives from having to take the stand. Shareholders allege that Endeavor had promised help with Vince McMahon’s legal troubles, as well as continued support and employment, to get a favorable price for the company, in breach of shareholders’ best interest. McMahon’s case for sex trafficking, abuse, and harassment is still ongoing, and despite the alleged favorable treatment, he stepped down from the company in 2024 amidst the investigation. McMahon was accused of using company funds to hush-money payments to victims of his alleged abuse and harassment by former WWE employee Janel Grant.

Steve Maclin Released by TNA

Steve Maclin Released by TNA

Steve Maclin Released by TNA – Steve Maclin is no longer part of TNA Wrestling, as the company has officially confirmed his departure.

On Sunday, TNA issued a statement announcing that both Maclin and Myla Grace have been released, effective immediately.

“TNA Wrestling has come to terms on the release of Myla Grace & Steve Maclin, effective immediately. We wish them the best in their future endeavors.”

Further confirmation came from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, who reported that Maclin was granted his release from the promotion.

Maclin’s exit comes shortly after his most recent appearance for TNA at the May 15 television tapings held at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium. At that event, he challenged Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship but came up short.

Earlier this year, Maclin was involved in a concerning moment during the main event of TNA Sacrifice on March 27. The match was stopped just over two minutes in after he appeared to be knocked out by a superkick. Despite the abrupt ending, it was later clarified that he did not suffer a concussion.

In terms of storyline direction, Maclin had also been part of the 2026 Feast or Fired match, where he secured a briefcase containing a pink slip. However, instead of leading to his exit, the angle shifted, and he was granted a TNA World Title opportunity against Santana at Sacrifice.

His release is notable given that reports earlier this year indicated he had signed a new deal with TNA in January, though specific terms of that agreement were never disclosed.

With his departure now official, Maclin joins the list of recently available talent, and attention will turn to what his next move will be in the wrestling industry.

MJF Injury Update Reveals Cause and AEW Status

MJF Injury Update Reveals Cause and AEW Status

A new update has provided more clarity on MJF and the knee injury that recently forced him out of an independent wrestling appearance.

On June 4, 2026, MJF was pulled from a scheduled match for Beyond Wrestling after the promotion announced he had suffered a hyper-extended knee. The situation led to immediate speculation about how the injury occurred, especially following a high-impact piledriver spot involving Rush.

However, a report from Fightful Select has clarified that the piledriver was not the cause. Instead, the injury reportedly happened during a separate sequence involving Rush delivering a knee strike in the corner. The incident has been described internally as a “freak accident,” with no blame placed on Rush.

Despite the setback, there is some positive news regarding MJF’s short-term outlook. While he was unable to compete at the Beyond Wrestling event, he is still expected to appear on AEW programming as the company continues to evaluate the severity of the injury. At this stage, there is no indication that he will be written off television.

Following MJF’s withdrawal from the independent show, Andrade was announced as his replacement. Andrade, who is aligned with The Don Callis Family, is now scheduled to face Bobby Orlando at the Beyond Wrestling event in Cranston, Rhode Island.

The situation remains fluid as AEW monitors MJF’s condition. While the injury disrupted his outside bookings, it appears the promotion is taking a measured approach before determining any long-term impact on his in-ring schedule.

AEW Reportedly Planning New Talent Signings Amid Free Agency Window

AEW Reportedly Planning New Talent Signings Amid Free Agency Window

AEW is expected to strengthen its roster in the coming months, with a new report pointing to incoming additions during the summer.

According to Fightful Select, the company is preparing to bring in “nationally televised talent,” though no specific names were confirmed. The report did not expand further on who could be joining or when deals may be finalized.

This update comes at a key time in the wrestling calendar. Several WWE talents released following WrestleMania 42 are still within their 90-day non-compete clauses. Once those restrictions expire later this summer, a number of recognizable names will officially become free agents, opening the door for potential moves to AEW.

Among the names that have already sparked speculation are Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. The duo, known for their long run as part of The New Day, would bring established star power and tag team experience if they were to make the jump.

Tag team wrestling could also get a boost with the possible availability of Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, collectively known as the Motor City Machine Guns. Their experience across multiple promotions and reputation for high-level in-ring work has made them a frequent topic in roster speculation.

Adding fuel to the rumors, The Young Bucks made a subtle reference to Kingston and Woods during a recent episode of Being The Elite. While speaking about the idea of fresh starts, the segment included a clear nod to The New Day’s signature phrase.

“Every day is a new day. That’s a great point. Everytime you wake up, and the next day is a new day. I’m never afraid about the new day. When a new day is coming, I’m excited,” said Matt Jackson.

The reference quickly caught attention among fans, especially given the timing with upcoming free agency decisions. While it stops short of confirming anything, it adds another layer to the ongoing speculation.

For now, AEW’s reported plans remain broad, with no official announcements made. However, the combination of expiring contracts and public teases suggests that the company could be preparing for notable roster additions in the near future.

AEW’s Mick Foley Intends To Have A Conversation With Darby Allin About Taking Risks

Mick Foley has said that he will talk to former AEW World Champion Darby Allin about taking fewer risks in the ring.

Foley, the ultimate daredevil in the squared circle, has faced the repercussions of his balls-to-the-wall, hardcore wrestling style, having dealt with several health issues as a result. Allin, like Foley, throws caution to the wind whenever he steps into the ring, which Foley believes is unnecessary.

“Yes, I will have that conversation. I didn’t think the time to have the conversation was hours before his biggest match. I’ve been told that people have had that conversation with him, and he says everybody does their best stuff on the pay-per-views. I owe it to my fans to do it on every televised event,” he said on “The Ariel Helwani Show.”

Foley stated that he only recently learned that he was one of Allin’s heroes during his younger years, recalling how he first met him when Darby was still in his teens. He also reflected on the promo he shared with Allin at Double or Nothing, claiming that everything he said was genuine and sincere.

“So, the promo I gave that genuinely seemed to fire him up was all from the heart, and they were all factual. They were all statements based in fact. But I will have that talk with him and try to find out. Like, it’s got to be another gear where you can allude to the things, give people 80% of what you usually do, knowing that the vast majority of his fans will be thankful for what he gives them, and they will understand that they might have to wait until a special event to get the, you know, the 100% Darby. But, I understand many a man has tried and failed, but I’ll give him the best advice I possibly can.”

Allin has been given the freedom to be his natural self in AEW, but there have been times when he has pushed things too far, including in Sting’s final match, where he went through glass, causing concern for AEW CEO Tony Khan.
