AEW’s Kevin Knight Compares Speedball Mike Bailey To Albert Einstein & Deion Sanders

“Speedball” Mike Bailey and “The Jet” Kevin Knight are currently at odds with one another following the events of AEW Double or Nothing 2026, where Knight attacked Darby Allin right after he had just lost the AEW Men’s World Championship to MJF.

Despite not being on the same page at the time of writing, deep down, Knight still has a lot of respect for Bailey. This was evident in a recent interview with Sir Wilkins on “The Jobber Tear’s Network” which was recorded before Double or Nothing, where Knight compared “Speedball” to some very influential people.

“He’s what to pro wrestling is, to what Albert Einstein is to science,” Knight said. “He’s what Deion Sanders is to swag, you know what I’m saying? He knows pro wrestling inside and out. Like you ask him about any match, about any style, he knows exactly who curated that style, exactly who came up with it. He knows all the moves, everything. So with that being said, Speedball knows exactly how to put everybody in the best place possible to get the best reaction out of everything. He just knows how to cook up a formula.”

Knight rounded out by saying that he is grateful to have “Speedball” as a partner (or at least he was) because he’s not only a great wrestling mind who he has learned a lot from, but that his kicks are incredibly stiff. “The Jet” will have another chance to feel what Bailey’s kicks are like this week on “AEW Dynamite” when he defends his AEW TNT Championship against Bailey, where fans will see if Knight really has crossed over to the dark side. Knight has faced Bailey three times in singles action but has never picked up the win, and he will be hoping to change that this week on “Dynamite.”

Backstage Update On Mercedes Mone’s AEW Status Ahead Of Tonight’s Dynamite

Alex Windsor is set to face a wild card opponent in the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Wednesday night on “AEW Dynamite,” and the mystery aspect of who will face one-half of the Brawling Birds has fans wondering about the status of former TBS Champion Mercedes Mone. The star hasn’t been seen in AEW in 2026.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, while Mone is still under contract with the company and is expected to return “soon,” it’s not known if she will be Windsor’s opponent on Wednesday. As of this writing, she had not been spotted backstage. The outlet reported that Windsor had been training with a stand-in on Wednesday, her fiancé, Will Ospreay.

Fightful reported they weren’t given specifics on Mone’s return date, but said her involvement upon that return will have “major ramifications” at the top of the women’s division. Mone headed to the top of the card upon her return would make sense, following the injury to now-former TBS Champion Willow Nightingale, and the fact former AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm is reportedly on the shelf for at least the remainder of the year.

Mone’s last AEW match came on December 31 at “Dynamite: New Year’s Smash” in Ralston, Nebraska. She dropped the TBS Championship to Nightingale, then went on to lose the remainder of her titles won on the independent scene throughout the beginning of 2026, including the CMLL World Women’s Championship, the Bestya Women’s title, and more. Her most recent match came on March 31 at WPW, where she lost the promotion’s title to Jody Threat.

Tony Khan, Multiple AEW Stars Featured In New Dark Side Of The Ring Trailer

One month ago, Vice TV’s “Dark Side of the Ring” announced they would be returning for a seventh season with nine episodes. Now not only is the order of the season known, but its been revealed that plenty of AEW personnel will be involved, including AEW’s most important figure. On X early Wednesday afternoon, “DSOTR’s” account released a new thirty second trailer for the season, which just so happened to feature a clip with AEW owner Tony Khan, confirming his involvement.

“It is ‘Dark Side of the Ring’ after all,” Khan could be seen saying.

The context of Khan’s quote remains unknown, as does the episode, or possibly episodes, Khan is scheduled to appear in. Regardless, it will be the first time the AEW owner has participated in the popular wrestling series during it’s seven seasons. He won’t be the only AEW presence either, as Jeff Jarrett will be the focal point of the series three part premiere, focusing on his time running TNA, while fellow AEW stars Eddie Kingston and Samoa Joe were also seen giving soundbites regarding the episode focusing on Joe’s infamous match with Necro Butcher. Non-AEW talent featured were Jim Cornette, TNA’s Matt Hardy, and former WCW/WWE/TNA star Scott Steiner.

“DSOTR’s” seventh season will premiere on July 7 and will run for two hours, consisting of the first two parts of “Jeff Jarrett’s TNA.” Starting with the third part of the episode one week later “DSOTR” episodes will revert back to one hour long, focusing on Butcher vs. Joe, Big Boss Man, The Renegade, “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff, and Missy Hyatt. The season will conclude with an episode about former WWE star Zach Gowen on August 25.

Rebel Joins I AM ALS as Ambassador Following Diagnosis

Tanea Brooks, known to wrestling fans as Rebel, has announced that she is joining the I AM ALS movement as an ambassador after being diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

Brooks shared that her decision to join the organization comes from a desire to help drive meaningful change and support efforts aimed at finding a cure.

“With I AM ALS, we are going to pass a law called ACT for ALS, and get closer for a cure, but we need your help.”

She continued by emphasizing her commitment to the cause despite the severity of the diagnosis.

“ALS may be a terminal diagnosis, but I’m showing up to fight as an Ambassador for I AM ALS. This patient-led movement is stepping into the ring every day to drive real progress and passing laws like the ACT for ALS for research and treatments. I’m proud to join I AM ALS and I’m asking you to step into the ring with us. Please take action.”

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, gradually impacting muscle control. Brooks’ announcement brings further attention to the ongoing need for research, treatment advancements, and patient support.

Her involvement with I AM ALS highlights the organization’s continued push for legislative action, including the ACT for ALS, which aims to accelerate access to treatments and expand research efforts.

Brooks has been a familiar face to wrestling audiences through her work in AEW, and her decision to step into an advocacy role marks a significant personal and public moment.

We extend our best wishes to Brooks as she continues her fight and works to raise awareness for ALS.

Bron Breakker Reportedly “Banged Up” After WWE RAW Match, No Time Off Expected

Bron Breakker Reportedly “Banged Up” After WWE RAW Match, No Time Off Expected

Bron Breakker sparked concern following his match against Seth Rollins on WWE RAW this past Monday, but an early update suggests the situation may not be serious.

According to a report from False Finish, Breakker is dealing with minor physical wear rather than a significant injury.

The report states that he was “banged up” after the match but is not expected to miss any in-ring time moving forward. This update comes after a video circulated online showing Breakker limping following RAW, which led to speculation about a possible injury setback.

At this stage, the situation remains unconfirmed, and the report should be treated as a rumor until further verification is available.

The timing of the concern is notable, as Breakker only recently returned from hernia surgery. Another injury so soon after his comeback would be a major setback, especially as WWE continues positioning him for a stronger push up the card.

Breakker has been featured more prominently in recent weeks, and any extended absence could impact those plans. However, if the current report is accurate, he is expected to continue competing without interruption.

While False Finish has previously reported legitimate news during their time with BodySlam, this particular update has not yet been independently confirmed. For now, it remains a developing situation.

We will continue to monitor for further updates regarding Breakker’s condition.
