Report: Conor McGregor To Make UFC Return During International Fight Week

It’s been nearly five years since Conor McGregor last fought in the UFC. His loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 was the last time McGregor stepped into a cage, and while efforts to try and make a fight against Michael Chandler have been ever-present, a return to the octagon never seems to materialize for “The Notorious” one. However, McGregor might be on his way back to the cage in time for International Fight Week in July.

According to Ariel Helwani, McGregor is reportedly set to be one half of the UFC 329 main event, and his opponent will be none other than former UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway. McGregor and Holloway have fought once before, that being all the way back in August 2013 at UFC Fight Night 26 in what was only McGregor’s second fight with the UFC. The bout was contested at featherweight and McGregor picked up the unanimous decision victory, but many fans have wondered what a rematch would look like all these years later, especially considering Holloway was a replacement for the injured Andy Ogle back in 2013.

While it’s only been reported at this time, UFC 329 is shaping up to be one of the biggest events of the year. Former WWE Superstar and Olympic Gold Medalist, Gable Steveson, is confirmed to be making his UFC debut on this card. Former UFC Welterweight Champion Leon Edwards is penciled in to be fighting Daniel Rodriguez, Cory Sandhagen and Mario Bautista are set to have a rematch of their 2019 fight, and the rumored bout between Paddy Pimblett and Benoit Saint-Denis is also likely to land on this card.

AEW Dynamite Results 4/29 – Several Championships On The Line, Rush In Action & More

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.’s live coverage for “AEW Dynamite” on April 29, 2026, coming to you live from the EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia!

Darby Allin looks to continue to prove to be a fighting champion as he puts the AEW World Championship on the line tonight against longtime friend and friendly rival Brody King. After Allin retained the AEW World Championship against Tommaso Ciampa during last Wednesday’s edition of “Dynamite”, King helped Allin up, voiced how proud he was of him, and informed him of tonight’s match as long as Allin was on board.

The TNT Championship will also be up for grabs, as titleholder Kevin Knight defends against MJF in the opening contest of tonight’s show. With Knight having previously emerged victorious in a Casino Gauntlet Match to become the new TNT Champion at AEW Dynasty on April 12, he found himself involved in a tense verbal confrontation with MJF last Wednesday as MJF was in the midst of demanding a rematch for the AEW World Championship that he had lost to the aforementioned Allin at the “Dynamite” Spring Break Thru television special on April 15.

Megan Bayne and Lena Kross of Divine Dominion will be putting the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship on the line for the first time since detaining against Maya World and Hyan on the Dynasty Zero Hour Pre-Show as they defend against Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida. Statlander and Shida have racked up wins in tag team competition against the likes of Ava Lawless and Gigi Rey on the April 11 episode of “AEW Collision” and Danika Fella Rouge and Big Anne at the “Collision” Spring Break Thru television special on April 16.

Additionally, La Faccion Ingobernable’s Rush will be competing against an opponent who has yet to be named after scoring a win against Adam Priest at the “Collision” Playoff Palooza special this past Saturday.

UFC’s Sean Strickland: ‘I’m Sure Dana White Is A Sociopath’

UFC’s Sean Strickland said he believes his boss, Dana White, to be a sociopath after his reaction to the White House Correspondents Dinner shooting.

White had said he found the incident, in which an officer was shot by a man targeting government officials – including President Trump – before he was apprehended by Secret Service, to have been “f***ing awesome.” The officer has since recovered, with the bullet striking his vest. But that hasn’t stopped the likes of Matt Brown and Ariel Helwani taking umbrage to White’s reaction.

Strickland was asked his thoughts on the reaction during a media scrum (via “MMA Mania”), explaining that he genuinely thinks there’s something abnormal going on in the mind of the UFC President.

“Let me tell you, I’m sure Dana White is a sociopath,” he said. “Like I mean, let’s be honest. Like at that level, no let’s be honest, like at that level of like what he’s accomplished, the kind of s*** he deals with. Like I’m sure like he’s a super narcissistic sociopath. So like for him you know the lizard brain doesn’t kind of compute, so he’s like f***ing bring it on. Which, I respect that.”

Strickland went further to say he was sure White would “love to watch a motherf***er get killed.

“He’s a sick f***ing dude,” he continued. “Like the guy’s probably a f***ing sociopath or even, I would assume, probably a psychopath.”

When reminded that he was talking about his boss, Strickland stopped just short of saying he wishes that wasn’t the case.

“Yeah I wish f***ing – that’s why I’m not making… I should be making more money dude. So I don’t got to deal with these f***ers.”

Report: United States City Puts In 3.5 Million Dollar Bid To Host WWE WrestleMania 44

Following WWE President Nick Khan’s recent tease during a TKO town hall meeting regarding the location of WWE WrestleMania 44, a new report has revealed a United States city has put in a bid for the event in 2028. According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, Nashville has thrown its hat into the race to host the “Showcase of the Immortals.”

Alvarez posted to his X (formerly Twitter) subscribers on Wednesday and reported that the city has put in a $3.5 million bid for WrestleMania 44, a bid that also includes tax breaks. In a previous report by POST Wrestling following this year’s WrestleMania, the outlet revealed public records showed the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor’s Authority paid a $6 million site fee for the 2026 event, where it paid $5 million the previous year to host WrestleMania 41.

A report prior to that indicated WWE received a $4.3 million tax break for running the event in Las Vegas again this year, meaning the company made over $10 million from WrestleMania 42 in just the tax break and site fee alone. WWE claimed, however, it spent around $35 million on events in the city over the weekend.

During the town hall meeting, of which audio was obtained by POST Wrestling, Khan teased the location of WrestleMania 44 to staff attendees. The president of WWE didn’t provide many clues, however.

“Wait until you hear the announcement on where we’re going to be for WrestleMania in 2028,” Khan said.

WrestleMania 43 will be held outside of the US or Canada for the first time in 2027 when it heads to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Before the second year of ‘Mania in Las Vegas was announced, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson publicly revealed New Orleans as the host city for WrestleMania 42 during an episode of “WWE SmackDown.”

Paddy Pimblett Teases Next UFC Opponent

Paddy Pimblett’s quest for UFC gold suffered a setback in January when he was defeated by Justin Gaethje in the main event of UFC 324. Gaethje walked away with the Interim UFC Lightweight Championship, and in turn earned a spot in the main event of the UFC White House card against Ilia Topuria. On the other hand, Pimblett slipped down the rankings knowing that he’d need another win to get back in title contention. The question that’s now been raised is could that win be on the horizon for the scouser?

In the latest training vlog uploaded to his YouTube channel, Pimblett closed out the vlog by teasing who his next opponent would be, and given the beret, the baguette, and the garlic necklace he was sporting, it’s safe to assume that his upcoming opponent likely comes from France.

All signs point to Pimblett’s next opponent being Benoit Sanit-Denis, the man who is currently ranked fifth in the UFC lightweight rankings, one place above “The Baddy.” This theory gained even more traction when Sanit-Denis took to Instagram to showcase a UFC contract he had just signed for an upcoming fight.

As for when the fight could happen, it has been heavily rumored that UFC 329 during International Fight Week in July is the likely landing spot for the fight if everything went according to plan. However, the UFC is yet to confirm this news.
