WWE’s John Cena Calls In-Ring Segment ‘One Of My Favorite WrestleMania Moments Ever’

WWE WrestleMania 42 had surprise moments from host John Cena changing the WWE attendance number on Night One due to Bianca Belair announcing her pregnancy and Oba Femi squashing Brock Lesnar in five minutes with the latter promptly leaving his boots and gloves in the ring. On Night Two, “The Showcase of the Immortals” got Danhausen and his Minihausens.

Cena was involved in a segment with The Miz and Kit Wilson. The Miz is supposed to be Danhausen’s veteran mentor, but it hasn’t worked out that way. Danhausen came to the ring and was joined by Minihausens that Wilson called “toxic”. One Minihausen lowblowed Wilson before Danhausen directed “dogpile” while Cena laughed in the background. Danhausen then set his sights on Miz, whom he lowblowed. After getting the nod from Cena, Danhausen did the “You Can’t See Me” gesture and his own of “You. Are. Cursed!” before landing the Five Knuckle Shuffle. The Minihausens carried Miz away while Danhausen told Cena he couldn’t see him and scurried under the ring in plain sight.

Danhausen posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) about the moment saying “55,000 humans cheered for Danhausen and chanted You. Are. Cursed! as Danhausen stood in a WWE ring with his new best friend, John Cena at WRESTLEMANIA. Never Give Uphausen.” Cena quoted it to say it “was one of his favorite WrestleMania moments ever. So happy we got an updated photo together.” He included a picture of the pair from ComicCon.

After hosting the two-night event, there are no announced plans for Cena’s return to WWE.

Biggest Winners And Losers Of The Week — 4/21/2026

And yet, here we are. For all that WrestleMania Night 1 felt like a PR nightmare, Night 2 (and the “Raw” after WrestleMania) brought WWE immediately back to the winner’s section, and frankly, it’s going to be very easy for a lot of people to forget that Night 1 even happened.

Night 2 was a triumph in many ways, most notably in the opener — which saw the full ascension of white-hot new megastar Oba Femi, who seems to have retired the controversial Brock Lesnar — and the main event, which was almost universally agreed to be one of the best wrestling matches WWE had put on in recent memory. You can dispute that if you want, but the fact of the matter is that on Saturday, WWE wasn’t even a wrestling promotion anymore, and on Sunday, CM Punk and Roman Reigns put on a spectacular wrestling match that has functionally laid those accusations to rest (at least for now). Add to that the fact that the “Raw” after WrestleMania was pretty good overall, featuring numerous “NXT” call-ups and elevating rising star Jacob Fatu into the pole position for Reigns’ newly-won World Heavyweight Championship, and Night 1 feels like a distant memory, even if the criticisms it garnered are still entirely valid.

It’s all about perception, and from a perception standpoint, WWE is already back on top after stumbling briefly on Saturday. You didn’t see any Tony Khan promotional posts Sunday or Monday night, and there’s a reason for that.

WWE’s Becky Lynch On AEW Star MJF: ‘He’s Just The Sweetest Boy’

Last year, “Happy Gilmore 2” released on Netflix with one of the biggest celebrity casts of all-time, as musicians, athletes and TV stars were all involved, including Eminem, Bad Bunny, Travis Kelce and Guy Fieri. However, professional wrestling also made its presence known in the film, as WWE’s Becky Lynch played the character Flex alongside AEW’s Maxwell Jacob Friedman, who took on the role of Happy Gilmore’s son, Gordie. The movie marked the first time that Lynch or MJF had ever worked together, and despite being apprehensive about meeting him, “The Man” recently shared her positive experience getting to know the former AEW World Champion during an interview with “Vulture.”

“I think he’s so great. I love him. And I’ll be honest, I thought he’d be an a**hole. He’s so good at his character that I was like ‘Oh I’m gonna hate this guy.’ And he’s just the sweetest boy. He’s so nice and he was so great and he was such a great conversation. It was such a great chat and we bonded instantly and I love him … I totally bought the act and now I’m killing the act. So, sorry. But no, I think he’s great and he’s wonderful and he was so great in the movie. He’s fantastic. He’s just a fantastic little speaker and actor and he’s also so young still. So I’m very excited to see where his career goes.”

In addition to “Happy Gilmore 2,” Lynch also recently appeared in the new sci-fi show “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy,” where she plays a Starfleet officer in Operations Gold as part of the bridge crew. As for MJF, his next involvement in a major project will be the action-comedy sequel “Violent Night 2,” which will hit theatres in December.

WWE’s Trick Williams Explains Connection Between Himself, Oba Femi & Je’Von Evans

WrestleMania 42, particularly the Sunday edition of the two-night “showcase of the immortals,” featured a lot of new talent making a splash in their first ever WrestleMania appearances. Perhaps no talents made a bigger splash than Je’Von Evans, who impressed many with his performance in the six-man ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, Oba Femi, who defeated Brock Lesnar in what may have been Lesnar’s last match, and Trick Williams, who quickly disposed of rival Sami Zayn to become the new WWE United States Champion.

Sitting down with Lil Yachty at the post-WrestleMania panel, Williams basked in the glory of his victory, while also pointing out the success Femi and Evans had. All three go back to their time in “NXT,” and Williams felt this WrestleMania was a fitting moment for all of them given where they were one year ago.

“I’ve got nothing but love for my boys Oba Femi and Je’Von Evans,” Williams said. “Last year, at this very same time, we was the main event of Stand & Deliver. And everybody, every one of us wanted to prove something to the world, let them know that ‘Hey, ‘NXT’ got them dawgs,’ you know what I’m saying? ‘NXT got them dawgs.'”

As much as he loves Femi and Evans, however, Williams admitted that they were ultra competitive with each other, which he feels will help all three of them as they continue through their careers.

“Oba and Je’Von, they already know man, it’s a love relationship,” Williams said. “But we compete every day. Don’t get it twisted. If Oba do something, I see it. And I’m gonna come out there and I’m gonna do my thing. And Je’Von gonna be crazy. But at the same time, we’re running our own race, but we’re pushing each other to greatness.”

UFC CCO Defends AI-Generated Branding

When the first trailer for the UFC Freedom 250 event at The White House was released over UFC 327 weekend, one thing immediately stood out to most people who saw it, it was AI-generated. The shots of Washington D.C, Dana White, and the fighters on the card were all made using AI, which isn’t the first time the UFC has embraced artificial intelligence in order to promote its events, and it likely won’t be the last.

The UFC’s Chief Content Officer Craig Borsari was a recent guest on the “Against The Cage” podcast where he was asked why the company has moved to a more AI-based form of marketing, to which he stated that the UFC production team uses it more as a tool, rather than just using whatever the technology gives out as the final product.

“The way we look at AI is not a substitute for content creation, but rather a way to amplify it. So, if there are things that we can do utilizing AI, it’s no different than using maybe a green screen. I mean, it’s a technique and technology that is evolving at an incredible rate and I like to tell my team if we’re not pushing the envelope and looking for different ways to do things and story tell, then we’re not doing our jobs.”

Borsari went on to explain that the company wants to use AI to help the staff currently employed by the UFC rather than replacing them, and hopes that it will help produce more innovative ads and trailers in the coming years. “The last thing I want my team to be is stagnant and play on our heels and play it safe so we will continue to look for ways to not only use AI but other technological advances and push the envelope in the way we present our product both on the original production side and the live events side.”
