WWE Fan Wants Apology From CM Punk After Confrontation Over WrestleMania Weekend

For a moment, it seemed as though the story of CM Punk’s WrestleMania weekend would be his main event match against Roman Reigns on Sunday, where Reigns toppled Punk to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. But Punk’s match was soon sharing headlines with an out of the ring incident from later that night, when Punk was filmed knocking the phone away from a fan who had been asking Punk’s wife, AJ Lee, and fellow WWE star Bayley for a photograph while the two had been conversing.

So far, neither Punk nor WWE has commented on the incident. The same cannot be said for the fan, however, who told “TMZ Sports” on Tuesday morning that he was not looking to press charges, file a lawsuit, or seek damages from Punk. He is, however, looking for Punk to apologize to him.

“I want an apology,” the fan said. “Shake my hand…I’m not gonna sue him or put him in jail. I just want an apology.”

Whether the fan will actually receive an apology from Punk, or if the former World Heavyweight Championship will instead double down on his actions, remains to be seen. Punk has not been shy over the years about expressing his disdain for fans that hound wrestlers outside of wrestling events. In September 2024, Punk asked fans to respect boundaries after a fan repeatedly attempted to get an autograph from him while traveling to “Raw;” he would repeat the message a year later following another uncomfortable fan interaction.

While not addressing Punk’s situation directly, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T voiced criticisms against security of the hotels WWE talent stayed at, including MGM Grand, feeling fans had too easy of access to wrestlers. Booker called WrestleMania weekend “toughest time I think I’ve ever had to deal with as far as fan interaction,” citing an incident where a fan followed him into the bathroom and filmed him as an example.

Brandi Rhodes Set To Star In New Reality Show

Cody Rhodes retained the WWE Undisputed Championship over Randy Orton on Night One of WrestleMania 42. Seated ringside were his wife, Brandi, and their oldest daughter, Libby. The Rhodes family has even more to celebrate as Brandi will be starring in a new reality show, “All Rhodes”.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show will showcase Brandi at “the center of family, fame and a rapidly expanding business empire.” She has two companies, Naked Mind Yoga & Pilates and Pinkerton’s Baby & Kids Boutique. Additionally, her YouTube show, “A Shot of Brandi” was revived on WWE’s YouTube channel. The show originally aired on her YouTube channel when she was in AEW. When the Rhodes were in AEW, they had a reality show called “Rhodes to the Top” that ended when they left the promotion.

Magilla Entertainment is the production company behind “All Rhodes”. They recently launched a joint venture with Adam Scherr (fka Braun Strowman) called Meat Castle Media. Brandi spoke about working with the company. “I’m thrilled to be partnering with Magilla Entertainment on this new docuseries. I’ve long admired their work, and couldn’t imagine a better team to capture the ambition, chaos and heart it takes to build and grow a business.”

Matthew Ostrum and Laura Palumbo Johnson, Magilla cofounders and producers, released the following statement: “Brandi is in constant motion; she wears so many hats and moves at a relentless pace across every part of her life. Entrepreneurship is already a full-time endeavor, but Brandi is constantly expanding what she takes on, and that ambition and drive are at the center of what this series explores.” The show will be shopped “imminently”.

During her time in WWE, Brandi Rhodes used the name Eden and was a backstage correspondent and ring announcer for “Raw” and “SmackDown”. In addition to wrestling in AEW, she was the Chief Brand Officer (or Chief Brandi Officer) and launched AEW Heels, a fanclub for women wrestling fans. She is recognized as the first Black woman to hold an executive position in a major wrestling company.

UFC Lightweight Champ Ilia Topuria Thinks This Star ‘Needs To Die And Be Born Again’

UFC Lightweight Champion Ilia Topuria might be fighting Justin Gaethje in the main event of UFC Freedom 250 at The White House on June 14, but there is still no love lost between himself and Paddy Pimblett.

The two men have had bad blood for a long time, to the point where many people, including Topuria himself, thought it would be Pimblett challenging “El Matador” at The White House. However, Pimblett would lose his Interim UFC Lightweight Championship fight against Gaethje causing the fight with Topuria to be put on hold. The current champion was a recent guest on “The Ariel Helwani Show” where he admitted that at one point, he wanted Pimblett to win as that was the bigger fight for The White House. “At some point I was rooting for Paddy because I was thinking that fight will be much bigger than the Justin fight, but everything happens for a reason you know what I mean?”

When asked if he was surprised at the fight between Pimblett and Gaethje went, Topuria admitted that he was, but only in Pimblett’s performance which proved to him what type of fighter he really is. “I was a little surprised yeah, I was a little surprised of how bad Paddy really is,” Topuria said. “I was expecting him to win to be honest. I was expecting him to take Justin down to, I don’t know, to do a different fight, like to really fight. But what he did inside the octagon in that fight, it surprised me a little bit. He really proved that he’s a little sausage.”

As for when Pimblett will return to the cage, that is still unknown at the time of writing. However, Topuria doesn’t see “The Baddy” getting back in title contention any time soon “Of course, but how is he going gain the skills, the technique in this sport? Like that’s basically impossible. He needs to die and be born again.”

Update On Cody Rhodes’ Injury Status After WWE WrestleMania 42 & Raw

After retaining the Undisputed WWE Title against Randy Orton in a bloody main event at WrestleMania 42, Cody Rhodes would be viscously attacked by “The Viper” after the bell, having been on the receiving end of a punk kick to close night one of the event. It was later revealed that Rhodes suffered a black eye among other face injuries, which required him to get three stitches and four staples on the back of his head. However, the more glaring injury was Rhodes’ gruesome black eye, which was on full display last night on “WWE Raw.” The severity of Rhodes’ eye injury caused many to question if he’ll be out of action going forward, and during the latest edition of the “Wrestling Observer Radio,” Dave Meltzer provided an update on “The American Nightmare’s” health status.

“He is in concussion protocol, which means that no physicality, but he does not have a concussion or does not believe he has a concussion. The eye has not been fully examined, but the belief is it is not a broken orbital. And I think the fact that he came out looking like that and shot that angle makes me think that they are of the belief that it’s not something that’s going to keep him out for a long period of time. So I think that they dodged a bullet there, cause man that eye looked bad.”

Meltzer also stated that Orton’s punt at the end of the night is not directly what caused the injury to Rhodes’ eye, as it had already become swollen during the match. On yesterday’s edition of “Raw,” a future match between Rhodes and CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Title was teased after “The Best In The World” lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42.

TNA Impact Viewership & Ratings Report, 4/16/2026

It was only a few weeks ago when, thanks to sports coverage, “AEW Collision” was moved to Thursday night. This put the program directly against “TNA Impact,” for its first hour and despite “Impact” doing normal ratings, and the call to move “Collision” seemingly coming from Warner Brothers Discover and not AEW, it reportedly angered TNA President Carlos Silva enough that it led to TNA talents being pulled from indie matches involving AEW talent, including Leon Slater vs. Ricochet during WrestleMania weekend.

Two weeks later, “Collision” and “Impact” found themselves head to head from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. on April 16, after “Collision” was moved in order to avoid going head to head with WrestleMania. While it remains to be seen how TNA and Silva react, the ratings were largely unchanged. Wrestlenomics and Programming Insider report that “Impact” drew 212K total viewers and 0.05 in the 18-49 demographic.

The fluctuations in the numbers were minor compared to “Impact’s” April 9 episode, with total viewership down 18% from 257K, while 18-49 was actually up, rising 25% from 0.04. Changes were also minimal against the four week average, with total viewership dropping only 12% from 241K, while 18-49 showed no change. As such, this would suggest “Impact” was hardly affected by “Collision,” despite AEW’s show drawing a strong 473K total viewers and 0.08 in 18-49.

The fallout show from TNA Rebellion just days earlier, “Impact” was built around the in-ring return of EC3, who returned to TNA at Rebellion, his first TNA appearance since Bound for Glory 2020. His first match back was left inconclusive, as he and Eric Young wrestled to a no-contest after EC3 accidentally knocked out the referee while clotheslining Young.
