Report: Bronson Reed Injury Was Deciding Factor For Major WWE WrestleMania 42 Change

WWE Pays Tribute To Chuck Norris, Survivor Series 1994 Special Guest Enforcer

WWE has paid tribute to Chuck Norris after his passing aged 86.

Norris’ family announced his death on Friday morning after he had been hospitalized on Thursday following an undisclosed medical emergency.

Norris appeared in WWE as the special enforcer for Undertaker’s Casket Match against Yokozuna at Survivor Series 1994. He was brought in as their feud lost the stakes of the WWE Championship, adding a little more excitement along with the stipulation.

During the match, Norris deterred Bam Bam Bigelow and King Kong Bundy from getting involved – as Vince McMahon said on commentary, “Chuck Norris is going to be tested” – though Jeff Jarrett was bold enough to try him. Norris dropped Jarrett with a headkick, and Undertaker went on to win.

WWE paid tribute to the man after his passing on Friday, describing him as: “A legend in the television and film industry with iconic projects such as Walker Texas Ranger, The Way of the Dragon, and many more, Norris became one of the most recognizable stars in Hollywood with his martial arts background playing a key role in his films and shows.”

WWE concluded in wishing condolences to Norris’ friends, family, and fans. And may he rest in peace.

Report: NBA Legend Dennis Rodman Set For 2026 WWE Hall Of Fame Induction

When you’re in the New World Order, you’re in it “4 Life.” Now, Dennis Rodman will also receive another immortal recognition: WWE Hall of Famer. First announced by ESPN’s Shams Charania on Friday morning, “Rodzilla” will now join inductees Stephanie McMahon, AJ Styles, and Demolition (Ax & Smash) in this year’s Hall of Fame Ceremony on Friday, April 17, in Las Vegas.

Never one to shy away from his quirky and unconventional ways both on the court and off, Rodman was a five-time NBA champion with the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls and 2011 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer. He made a splash in the pro wrestling scene in 1997, when he appeared for WCW, joining the pop culture phenomenon that was the nWo. Rodman competed in four matches during his four-year on-again/off-again tenure, three of them for WCW. He took part in a tag match with “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan against Diamond Dallas Page and Karl Malone, which caused a roar, as he famously skipped a practice during the 1998 NBA Finals to appear for WCW.

The former power forward/small forward now joins other highly-esteemed stars and non-wrestling athletes as part of the WWE Hall of Fame Celebrity Wing, including Pete Rose, William Perry, Bob Uecker, Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, and the late great Ozzy Osbourne.

Whether you know him as “The Worm,” the “Demolition Man,” one of the faces that made the Bulls’ the dynasty team of the 90s, or the man who famously married himself, “Rodzilla” has a new nickname to add to his inimitable career and life story: 2026 WWE Hall of Famer.

LA Knight Says ‘Uncertainty’ Surrounding WWE WrestleMania 42 Adds To The Excitement

WrestleMania 42 is just a few weeks away, but WWE’s LA Knight seemingly doesn’t know what he’s going to do at the show, which he says adds to the excitement of the mega event.

WrestleMania will once again be live from Las Vegas for the second time in a row, but unlike last time, when he defended the US Championship, Knight’s WrestleMania this time around is a bit unclear.

“There’s a lot of uncertainty at this time with a lot of things which I think adds to a little bit of the excitement just for the fact that anything can happen. When you’re talking about two years in a row in Las Vegas, that means that if you did one year and it was good and you’re doing the second year, you know, we got outdo the year before. So, we’ll see what that brings and, in the next, we got a month and some change before we get there. So, plenty of time for this to build,” he said to Esteban Ramirez.

Knight admitted that he is yet to be told by WWE what he will be doing at “The Show of Shows,”  but promised fans that such a situation brings out the best in him.

“I’m going to tell you this. I don’t even know what to expect from me at WrestleMania because I have no idea where my direction is, what I’m doing yet. And in a lot of ways, that’s the most dangerous position in the best way. So, what you can expect from me is if you’re going to see me on any show, whether it’s WrestleMania or anywhere, I’m going to do my damn just to make sure that if it’s your first time ever seeing me, you get your money’s worth.”

He added that fans who are getting to see him for the first time will come away with a memorable moment, either with something he does or says in the ring.

Dave Meltzer On Ronda Rousey In AEW: Source Says It Fits ‘Vendetta’ Against TKO

Dave Meltzer wrote that Ronda Rousey’s surprise cameo at AEW Revolution fits into a supposed vendetta against TKO, per a source close to the situation.

Rousey is fighting Gina Carano in each of their respective returns to MMA in May, promoted by Most Valuable Promotions and streaming on Netflix.

During the first press conference for that event, Rousey started to take aim at the UFC, specifically attempting to omit Dana White from the criticism, and has pledged to start a revolution against the promotion. But then she appeared for a spot supporting her friend, Marina Shafir, at Revolution on Sunday, spurring conversations as it pertains to the rivalry between AEW and WWE.

Writing on the matter during this week’s “Wrestling Observer Newsletter,” Meltzer said a source close to the situation that her cameo fit into her vendetta against TKO, having negotiated for more than one year for the Carano fight, but when the model changed from pay-per-view to streaming, changed the compensation believing they would have nowhere else to go.

Meltzer wrapped up by opining that TKO wouldn’t be happy about her disparaging UFC and “clearly those in WWE were not happy at all” about it. But he concluded that its more of an annoyance than a game changer for wrestling.

Rousey had said that the fight with Carano had originally been planned to happen in UFC, and that she had been offered a great deal under the pay-per-view model. Carano needed time to get in better condition, and the fight was postponed, pushing them into negotiating under the new streaming model.

She said that White was the one who encouraged her to find the best deal, and thus Carano and Rousey will be fighting under Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian’s Most Valuable Promotions in both its and streamer Netflix’s first MMA event.
