Killer Kross Says AEW Door “Always Open,” Praises MJF

Appearing on The Ariel Helwani Show on Wednesday, Killer Kross said he isn’t ruling out a potential move to AEW down the line.

The former WWE star — previously known as Karrion Kross — spoke about his current free agent status and what the future could hold following his departure from WWE in the summer of 2025.

Kross made it clear that while he’s enjoying his post-WWE run, he remains open to new opportunities. Though he currently competes on the independent scene and holds the MLW World Heavyweight Championship, he has not signed an exclusive deal with any promotion.

When asked about the possibility of joining All Elite Wrestling, Kross was respectful but guarded regarding any direct discussions with AEW President Tony Khan.

“This is what I will say: I have a tremendous amount of respect for Tony and he knows that,” Kross said. “And I prefer to keep those conversations private out of respect for Tony and myself.”

Despite avoiding specifics, Kross confirmed that the possibility of working with AEW remains very real.

“I think it’s always been open,” he said. “I think it’s always been open.”

Kross emphasized his professionalism and commitment to his current bookings, noting that he takes his obligations seriously and isn’t someone who backs out of appearances. However, he left the door open for future opportunities if circumstances align.

“If everything aligns, I think anything is possible,” Kross added.

Kross also had high praise for current AEW World Champion MJF, naming him as one of the talents he would be particularly interested in working with.

“He’s someone I would love to work with,” Kross said of MJF.

During the interview, Helwani also brought up the possibility of Kross joining TNA Wrestling. While Kross didn’t directly confirm talks with the promotion, he suggested he’s had discussions across the industry.

“I’ve spoken with many people from all places,” he said. “I’ve been available for conversations with anybody and everybody, and I’ve always kept it that way. There’s no bad blood with me or anybody anywhere. My phone is always on for those conversations.”

Kross and his wife Scarlett departed WWE under unusual circumstances in August 2025, shortly after Kross competed at SummerSlam. At the time, there was speculation their exit could be part of a storyline tied to the #WeWantKross movement, but it was later confirmed that the two were unable to reach new contract agreements with the company.

Since then, Kross has remained active across multiple promotions while keeping his long-term future open-ended.
